Kim's Kanine Akademy

After the first session, I could tell Kim was an experienced trainer. My dog was one year old, and training was neglected. Kim started from the beginning with the basics, and progressed as fast as the dog could absorb, or I should say as fast as the owner could absorb. As an owner, I now have the knowledge to repeat training exercises going forward. Kim has greatly reduced any frustration that I had when dealing with my dog, and probably vice versa as well. It has made my affection for (Girl) Scout grow, and now we operate on the same channel which makes it much more enjoyable. I recommend Kim for all your dog training needs.

I can't recommend Kim enough. She has a kind and gentle nature that dogs (and owners) respond to. She's helped me with our puppy teaching her a few basic as well as some advanced commands. She's also given us plenty of advice on dealing with a puppy that we've implemented daily. Kim is an outstanding trainer who will help your puppy become a great member of your family and society. Also, Kim's rates are beyond reasonable.

I have just started working with Kim and today was our second session, but my dog has already shown tremendous improvement. She was a good dog to begin with and had minimal basic training (house broken, sit, lie down), but we did struggle with a few behavioral issues (counter surfing and food stealing, hyperactivity, lack of focus, excessive jumping, etc.). The first in home class was Thursday and we worked on her focus, stay, and leave it mainly. Stay is hard for her because she’s so energetic and has a hard time keeping focused sometimes, but she’s gotten much better. Leave it and her focus she seems to have gotten down and it’s only Tuesday now! She’s a very fast learner which helps but it’s amazing at the improvements my dog has shown! I haven’t had any issues with her stealing food or counter surfing which has been one of biggest issues. Today we worked on heal, avoiding rushing out of the front door until cued, and getting her to better listen to coming when called. I’m so eager to see the improvements she makes this week! Kim has been so great and definitely knows and understands dogs and how they think which goes a long way with training! 10/10 recommended hands down.

Honestly, I cannot say enough good things about Kim! She has been a blessing to us! It is very intimidating bringing home a new puppy. But with Kim's training and support, we have been able to enjoy the journey with our little guy. Kim's kind, caring and gentle nature has helped us to better parents to our puppy. She is teaching us to raise him up to be an obedient and social member of our family. Our older dog has also benefited from Kim influence. We all love her and look forward to continuing to work with her! Thank you Kim!
