With more than 30 years of business in West Michigan, Kim's K-9 is a fun and friendly center for dog boarding, training and doggie daycare. Founders Kim, expert trainer, and husband Brian Steffes opened the current Center in Kentwood, Michigan in March 1996. Lifelong residents of the Grand Rapids area and avid dog lovers, Kim and Brian have created lasting relationships with clients and their wonderful pets. Kim and Brian sold the business to their long-standing employee and friend, Martha Wiltse, in 2021. She carries on their values! The facility offers a safe and clean environment with multiple indoor and outdoor play areas, as well as flexible hours and a convenient location, just off of Broadmoor Ave. SE, near 28th St.

Our puppy went to puppy daycare and did great! The staff was wonderful and took good care of him and gave us an update on all the things they did and he got to safely play with other puppies his age! We will be booking again soon!
I've been bringing my dogs here for daycare and boarding for 20 years. This is the only place I would trust with my pets. Staff are kind, very knowledgeable and have high standards when it comes to providing a good experience. My dog gets excited when I turn into the parking lot because she loves coming to Kim's K9

Oscar has been going to Kim’s K-9 for almost six months now while he is still a little guy, and he absolutely loves it. My previous dog also went there for years and years, so Kim’s K-9 has been a trusted part of our lives for a long time. The people at Kim’s K-9 are true dog lovers, and they really know dogs. You can tell right away that they genuinely care about every dog that walks through the door. They speak dog fluently! I always feel completely at ease leaving Oscar there because I know he is safe, happy, having fun, and being cared for by people who truly love him. There is nothing better than that kind of peace of mind. If you are looking for a place you can trust with your dog, I highly recommend Kim’s K-9. Oscar gives it two paws up!
It was so great to see Chip arrive and immediately reconnect with the 4 trainers wagging his tail and going up to them and then coming back to me for permission to go with them. Cant wait to see what great things are in store with the new building next door. See you guys in 4 weeks for vacation!
