(This is Lois Obelcz, my husband's name displays) I have been taking Nosework classes with Melanie for over a year. She is a fantastic instructor - she is very good about getting the best out of each dog/handler team, while also encouraging everyone to support and learn from each other. She is totally immersed in the sport and keeps up to date on all of the latest information by reading articles, going to seminars and trials, etc. Our two dogs love the classes and get very excited to go in and see what challeges await them each time! I recommend Melanie highly if you want to learn this sport.

We have been been training in Nosework with Melanie for almost two years. She is a wonderful instructor - always prepared, keeps great notes on everyone's progress, is very sensitive to the strengths and weaknesses of each team and makes suggestions and sets goals accordingly. When we started her class, my dog was very anxious about staying in her crate when she was not working, and even anxious about entering the building at the start of class. Mel worked with us and was extremely patient as my girl gained confidence with this new sport. She now runs into the building tail wagging, greets Mel, happily works, and patiently waits in her crate. She loves Nosework and we both have learned so much. I heartily recommend Melanie!

I've been taking nosework classes with Melanie for years and an extremely impressed with her knowledge and skills. She is very thorough in teaching your dog the skills necessary to be successful as the hides become more difficult. She continually goes to seminars and camps to keep up-to-date on any new information on dogs and dog training. She uses only positive reinforcement training. Highly recommended. Eileen

I have been training with Melanie for almost 5 years, for Nosework, and for my puppy obedience. She is very knowledgeable, friendly, and individualizes the training to what is best for you and your dog, always using positive reinforcement. My girls know when we are approaching Melanie’s training center and get very excited because they know they are going to have fun. Over the years I have trained at other places, but they were more repetitive drills, Mel works to make it fun for your dog & to make your dog your companion.
