My Experience with Katz K9 and My Belgian Malinois When I first began working with Katz K9, I was the owner of a two-and-a-half-year-old male Belgian Malinois who had a pronounced prey drive. This characteristic made it difficult for him to feel comfortable around other dogs, especially those behind fences. These issues impacted our daily routines and restricted the activities we could enjoy together. My experience with Katz K9 proved to be transformative. With their expert guidance, we were able to achieve a more typical and fulfilling lifestyle. My dog learned how to manage his instincts, and we gained the confidence to participate in different competitive venues by directing those same instincts in positive ways. Finding a trainer who understood and could harness my dog's unique strengths and weaknesses was remarkable, and it enabled him to make good choices both in everyday scenarios and in the competitive arena. Adam has been working with our dog Asher and the results have been awesome. We signed up for a 20-session program that mixes protection/bite work with obedience and confidence training, and the balance has been great. Adam clearly knows what he’s doing and takes the time to explain things so we understand how to keep the training consistent at home. Asher has become way more focused, confident, and responsive since starting. The bite work is structured and controlled, and the obedience side has made a huge difference in everyday behavior. What I like most is that Adam actually adjusts the training to the dog instead of running every dog through the same routine. You can see the progress session to session, and Asher is clearly enjoying the work while still learning the discipline that comes with it.
