Katy's K9s

My rescue puppy, Daisy, died in the care of Katy's K9s. My other dog, Tulip, broke her ulna and radius also in the care of Katy's K9s. I had both of my dogs boarding with this business for quite a while, but once their time in boarding was over I discovered that Tulip's hurt arm wasn't just hurt...it was actually two broken bones!! I then had to take her in for surgery as soon as I could get her in, and they had to re break her bones in surgery. Because Tulip was healing, I sent Daisy back to training. I assumed Tulip had slipped or something because small dogs are fragile, so I wrote it off and thought I could send Daisy back safely. I didn't know that the last time I would ever see Daisy would be when I dropped her off. Katy had things going on in her personal life, so I tried to be very flexible with scheduling for me to come see my dog. I was supposed to see her every week, but after a month I had still not been able to see her. Katy had to reschedule multiple times. Finally we were able to confirm a day and time for me to see Daisy, but the morning before I was finally able to go over and see her Katy called me telling me that Daisy had died. Katy told me that a collar had been put on Daisy before she was put in a crate, and something happened which led to her dying. I don't know if Daisy choked to death or if her neck was snapped or.......I will never know........ I don't know if that's even actually how Daisy died, or if that was even the day she died because I kept getting rescheduled, or where her body is. All I know is that I will never see my baby again.

after seeing how many people have negative experiences with katy i need to share mine. i sent my dog to katy for the board and train he was there for the full time and then i received a message from her asking if she could keep him a few extra weeks for extra training so “i can get what i paid for” she then posted a video of him where i could see there was a gash on his nose. which now im wondering if thats why she wanted to keep him i then texted her when the time came to pick him up and she didn’t respond til the day i was supposed to pick him up asking if i could get him the next day. i then arrived to get him and he was so incredibly matted and so skinny i could feel each rib. he then came home and had absolutely no sighs of being trained at all, he couldnt even sit. i then texted her expressing my concerns and i got no reply. i texted her again a few weeks later and she replied saying she had been busy due to personal reasons but i could send him back and she can give him more training i replied saying i didn’t feel comfortable sending him back and asked for half my money back and got no reply i then texted her on her instagram and got no reply once again. please do not send your dogs here !!!

Please read before considering Katy K9’s… After staying with Katy for 2 weeks, our dog came home with a severe bacterial infection from what we were told was a wet collar left on her for multiple days after being in a pool. Her lips were rubbed raw from licking and biting her infection and she had bite marks along her front legs and chest. We expected our dog to be taken care of and loved in the same way we treat her at home but are now questioning whether Katy or her employees actually watch over these dogs as much as they claim to. While away we received 0 updates on how our dog was doing or the state she was in when we picked her up, as if she was trying to hide her injuries from us. Being on an overseas trip and worrying because multiple texts and picture requests are being ignored is unacceptable. On top of all of this we were ignored all the way up to our pickup day where we were told by Katy she would have to withhold our dog due to her own personal issues. Why should we have to sit holding our breath waiting for our dog after driving out and knocking on her door for 30 minutes just to go home without our dog. Especially when we believe Katy knew she was injured and unwell doing nothing about it. There is no way someone who puts as mush time and attention into the care of these dogs as she claims to could not notice the horrible state our dog was living in for multiple days. She was bleeding, chewing her infection, and stank like puss and bacteria. Our vet confirmed this infection could not appear overnight and was most likely 4-5 days old. We have asked for a refund and some help covering the $500+ vet expenses as this couldn’t be healed without prescribed antibiotics, and have been left on delivered for multiple weeks. Finally after 2+ weeks we were given poor excuses as to why she was incapable of even writing us a simple text back, and how she wasn’t prioritizing this situation due to her being in a “tight financial situation,” as if this wasn’t a huge burden on our lives. This situation is extremely unprofessional and has made us lose trust in this business. We have reached out in every possible way and have had our comments deleted and texts ignored. For someone who claims to love animals we can only ask how she could let this happen and feel comfortable with herself and the business decisions she made to this point. Do not bring your dog here.

I’m not only in awe at the the positive changes I’ve seen in my pup but the knowledge and experience Katy has clearly shows. I’m pretty ignorant when it comes to dogs and Katy was so patient with my many seemingly elementary questions. She was very responsive in communication and thoroughly explained everything multiple times. She set me up to be successful with Molly once I took her back home after the 3 weeks of training. She is still super available and willing to answer my questions and walk me through any bumps in the road. Every penny spent was worth it and would do it all over again if I had to.

I cannot say enough great things about Katy and her team. We got a puppy over the summer, and she was incredibly reactive to people, especially strangers coming into our home. I have never had a reactive dog before. My dogs have always loved people! I felt very out of my element and lost on what to do. Holidays were a complete source of stress, and my son stopped wanting to have friends over because she would bark uncontrollably the entire time. We were even considering rehoming our girl, and had actually reached out to the breeder. But we felt like we needed to give our girl Chloe a fighting chance. Katy came highly recommended, so I reached out and we had an intake appointment. Chloe stayed with Katy and her team for a 3 week board and train. Katy kept us updated on her progress, and we even had 3 training sessions while Chloe was in the program. She has come back a completely different dog, but with her same sparkling personality! I now understand how to communicate with my dog in a way she understands, and Chloe knows exactly what we expect of her. Walking has become so much easier! Two weeks after we brought her home, she had a very reactive 45 minutes with our pest control guy. Katy came out to our home and did a training session with us to show us the steps on how to work through new people coming over. Turns out, my e collar was not synced to my remote (Ooops lol)! Katy still stayed for over 45 minutes and worked with us (and my coworker who acted as the "stranger") through all the steps and scenarios. I was FLOORED that Chloe was able to obey commands and work through her anxiety and not react to my coworker and his daughter. She did AMAZING, and Katy explained everything so clearly. Not only the steps, but also what Chloe was going through and how to read her behavior. Katy was a savior for our girl. Because of her program, Chloe is now a calmer dog who has clear expectations. We are loving her and not just tolerating her!!! If you have a reactive dog, Katy will help you tremendously. I honestly thought our dog was beyond "fixing". But Katy proved us wrong and did it! Call her, you won't be disappointed :) I'd give more than 5 stars if I could!!
