Kathy Santo Dog Training

We have been training with Kathy Santo since we rescued Elly. She was a Tasmanian Devil when we adopted her. Kathy and her team have helped significantly train Elly and me so that she is now a well-behaved dog. I recommend Kathy to everyone that I meet who has a dog that needs training (and the owners, too). We have a second rescue dog, Aida, who has begun training with Kathy. My older son adopted one of Aida’s puppies and has begun puppy class Also, my daughter’s dog, Myelin, needed remedial training. Kathy and her team identified some health issues which were addressed and he is now a very well behaved dog , almost ready to be returned to my daughter’s family

My husband and I have been attending group training classes with our dog on Saturday mornings with Kathy Santos for the past year or so. Every week she gives the dog owners time to ask her questions about how to handle various situations with their dogs. After this question and answer period, Kathy instructs the dog owners to implement different training exercises with their dogs. She always adds challenges to each training exercise. It is amazing how much all of the dogs learn, including ours, who successfully generalizes what he has learned into our home setting. It is also incredible that Kathy can work with up to 10-15 dogs in a session, and the dogs know they are there to work and learn, not to socialize and disrupt the class. Kathy also e-mails the dog owners follow-up notes on what was accomplished in each class, and spends time in class, giving dog owners tips on the best ways to handle their dogs when having company, especially for a major holiday. Just seeing how she has trained her own dog, who regularly attends her classes, is extremely inspiring.
