Kate Perry Dog Training + Daycare Center

We have been working with Kate Perry’s team for quite a few months now (shoutout goes especially to the fabulous trainer Sherri who has been so patient and kind with us newbies in the puppy training world!) We recently also started sending our pup to daycare here once a week and it’s great! From the videos and regular updates they share, it’s clear he’s having the best time. The staff all do such a great job keeping the pups happy and engaged - they all clearly love what they do and do it well! Thank you!

The KPDT daycare is the only place I’ll send my dog! I’ve tried a bunch of doggy daycares in the city but have always had bad experiences - my dog would come back with lots of newly learned bad habits, desperate for attention, and smelling horrible. My pup and I have worked with Kate for years and knew the had program would be top notch, but it’s exceeded expectations. It’s very thoughtfully designed and structured, ensuring all dogs get the type of socialization and care they need while honing their training throughout the day. And the facilities are *immaculate*. Unlike any other daycare, my dog comes home better behaved, exhausted mentally and physically, and smelling the same way she did before drop off (!!!!).

TL;DR — 1000% the best decision you can make as a pet owner is working with the Kate Perry team in any capacity you can. Now for the long version: Getting our sweet pup, Oscar, in February was the best part of 2024. The second best part was getting to meet and work with Kate and everyone on her team!! We were in over our heads as first-time puppy owners when we audited their Puppy Socialization Class. Right away they made us feel welcome, excited and confident that we could do this — we signed up immediately. Then we enrolled in the Basic Obedience Class and some private sessions with Kate (to help with our hard-to-potty train pup). It was hard and time consuming, especially if you do class homework, but we would do it over again without hesitation. Each course was valuable, informative and FUN! The amount of care every trainer puts into class structure, pup care, answering any and every question you can think of and supporting owners to have the best relationship with their dogs is unmatched. And it works!! Strong, lasting training. A recent example: Oscar got groomed for the first time at 8mo old. The groomer was SHOCKED they it was his first time because he was so chill and good with behind handled. **All because of Kate and her team helping us prepare Oscar for these experiences!!!** I don’t have the space to get started on how great their daycare center is. We live in a different neighborhood and go out of our way to take Oscar there on our in-office days…it’s that good. The attention, care and training reinforcement they put into each day is incredible. Oscar comes back a better, relaxed pup that still knows his commands. Versus other daycares where he always came back too amped up and rowdy to listen. These are passionate pros that we are so lucky to know and work with. Cannot recommend enough!!

My adorable puppy and I have been attending Kate's class. Kate is like a dog psychologist - she deeply understands my dog's wants and desires and has taught me to train her with an incredible empathy and love. I had been a bit frustrated by my puppy - but realized it was me who needed to learn to teach her. I am so thankful to Kate - without her (and her amazing team) - I may have given up - but my puppy (the Marvelous Ms. Marmalade) is just too sweet to give up on! She is going to be the best dog ever thanks to Kate!
