Truly a life changing experience! Some background: Apollo, my highly reactive mutt, struggled with dogs and people interacting with him and I, and if they got "too close" in our space. It was a struggle to have people come over without being charged. He would lunge at passing dogs, people, and most things on wheels. I've undergone multiple trainings in the past that have helped but didn't fully negate the danger of the situation. The biggest drawback was apollos negative and sometimes extreme reactions to correction. So the past few years have been rough, the extreme reactivity was draining and made me loose confidence in being able to do much with him at all. The Training: Working with Kat was like working with a friend. Her main focus was building my confidence and knowledge on how to handle apollo in a plethora of situations and environments. She made sure to use a training regime and method that worked for both apollo and I to see the best results. Firm corrections along with lots of positive enforcement, along with the encouragement of using tools that aren't always convenient to use but set a great foundation to progress further. The Result: Apollo now confidently gets in the car without food lures or prompting. Is able to walk through busy stores and farmers markets without lunging, snapping, or excessive barking. And the confidence I have in being able to address his behavior without escalating it is something I can't thank Kat enough for. To summarize, training with Kat has allowed me to give Apollo a more fulfilled life without causing him distress. Kat is amazing and I highly recommend using her services to any capacity. I got to Kat after speaking to a few dog trainers and asking for their opinion about my dog’s aggression towards my husband . After speaking to Kat I didn’t need to research anymore . First , she offered sensitive options to dealing with my dog , that is , while other trainers wanted to put a shock collar ( that burnt him before ) on him , Kat said that this would probably wouldn’t be necessary . She offered a training leash that ended up working like a miracle . Second , she didn’t try to charge me $2,000 before evening seeing my dog . She offered a consultation and then we could see how we go from there . Ended up that the consultation was all we needed!! We got our problem fixed in less than 10% of what some other places were asking for . Lastly , and most important, Kat was a pleasure to work with! She is a true dog whisperer ! She understood what’s going on with me and my dog very quickly and was able to offer a solution right then and there ! Thank you Kat !

Kat is AMAZING at what she does. In only two lessons with our sweet but very reactive rescue baby, he became a completely different dog. He no longer pulls on the leash, and I can redirect him appropriately when other people or dogs come into his space. Not only did she train our dog, but she gave my partner and me the confidence and ability to appropriately control our dog's reactivity in social situations. I couldn't recommend Kat more!!!
