Do not give this owner any money up front and also ask to see the training his so-called trainers have had if you are going to pay for them to train your dog. He had no clue how to teach scent detection, he is rude, demeaning and insulting. I paid a large sum of money, in the thousands, for private lessons to fit my schedule. I was very uncomfortable with this in the beginning and he assured me whether it would take months or years, he would help me achieve my goals. He also told me if I wasn't happy with his training, then we could discuss refund and payment. I wasn't happy with him or the dog's training and asked for a partial refund. His co-owner and manager agreed to this and then turned around and stopped corresponding with me. No refund ever came so I filed suit. He was late more often than not for scheduled lessons and actually was a no show twice after driving 30 minutes for my lesson. Do not trust his co-owner or employees to keep their word on follow through if you have a complaint or concern. Research him thoroughly before signing any contract with him. If you are adverse to shock collars and pinch collars, run! He will tell you he oozes testosterone and that's why the dogs respond to him but then he relies on those fear inducing tactics.
