Getting Blitz, my German Shorthaired Pointer, was the best decision I’ve ever made. Hiring Andrea with K9W Dog Training to train him was the second best decision I have made recently. I have recommended her to all of my friends and all those that stop to tell me how well behaved Blitz is (for a young and active GSP that is a huge compliment!) :-) Not only has Blitz changed for the better, I think the real change is in me. My anxiety has greatly reduced, I am more calm and confident, consistently. I trust Blitz in his abilities and he now trusts me as his owner. It is now a pleasure to take Blitz for a walk, no more pulling or jumping when there are distractions. I can put him in place (down, stay) anytime and anywhere, which has helped more than I realized. He has also stopped being destructive; no more coming home to “surprises” or finding holes dug in the backyard. This is all thanks to Andrea’s unique training methods. Andrea uses both animal and human psychology to identify the root cause for behavioral problems and suggests areas for improvement. She worked with me to help me understand what I should start, stop and keep doing and why in a way that made sense to me so that I can remember and include as part of my daily life with Blitz. Blitz graduated from the 3 week board and train program. I was apprehensive at first to leave him in an unfamiliar environment for that long and worried about how much I would miss him. While he was certainly missed, Andrea was in contact with me almost daily and I was also able to train with Blitz each week which really helped my own separation anxiety lol. The training doesn’t stop there. After Blitz graduated, Andrea has made herself available whenever I have questions or would like some refresher training. I also really enjoy the community of fellow owners and their pups that has been created from the K9W training program. Blitz and I are forever grateful for Andrea and K9W Dog Training 🐶💙🐾
Andrea has been fantastic with my Sasha starting with the 3 week boot camp. Having never had a trainer for my past dogs I feel that I certainly got the best as Andrea trained my Sasha to become a great canine citizen and companion!
Andrea is a patient and consistent trainer. She worked with our 8 month old puppy for 4 weeks in a Board and Train program. It was an excellent investment in the relationship we now have with our dog! We strongly recommend K9W Dog Training to anyone who needs help with their pet.
