K9University Dog Training

We had an amazing experience at k-9 university. To be honest they were our last resort for our dog. He was wonderful with our family but appeared aggressive with anyone and everything outside of our house. We tried reading books, following others advice and other trainers and nothing was working. At the end of our rope we called Allison. We should have called her from the beginning and saved ourselves and our pup months of stress and bad behavior. His turnaround has been amazing. We still have lots of work to do at home to help make sure that he can be successful but now we have the tools to do it. She is firm, caring and affectionate with the dogs in her care. Our pup was happy and taken care of with her. I would recommend K-9 to anyone with a dog that is “difficult” she will get to the bottom of why and correct the behavior.

Allison has magic in her hands. She completely transformed our 5 months old GSD boy from a hyper active out of control puppy to a calm and focused boy. We were amazed at how well she trained him to listen and reset his behavior. Allison is extremely dedicated and structured in her training. Not only did she analyze the personality of our dog but used it to customize her approach. She worked on every aspect of behavioral training with our dog. We brought her a puppy who would bite, jump, bark and was very reactive. At the end of 10 days training our puppy was a changed dog. We loved the e-collar and the tips she gave us to be consistent. We got great stuff to fall back upon in the form of training material and she is always available to answer any questions or concerns we have even after the training. Allison is very passionate about what she does and is simply the best trainer out there. Keep up the awesome work! I would highly recommend K9U to pet owners looking for a fantastic trainer.

We have had quite the journey with our dog, Kona, and so thankful to have found K9U to help bring out the best in Kona again. After being attacked by a dog a couple of years ago, we saw Kona slowly turn from a friendly, loving dog to extremely nervous, reactive and aggressive, especially around dogs and new people (mainly men). When she started turning to aggressive behaviors more and more, we sought out intensive training and initially had a really poor experience with a different trainer. We felt the training was very “cookie cutter” and directed us to avoid all situations which might be challenging for Kona. Not only did we not see improvement in her behavior but avoided any and all unideal situations which resulted in anxiety when they couldn’t be avoided and made us feel like we couldn’t trust others to watch her (due to the amount of things there were to avoid). I give these details not to vent but because I think Allison’s training is so above and beyond what you might see from some others if you are currently searching for a trainer! Last fall, we found K9U and are so thrilled to see an even better version of the “old kona”! Working with Allison has been a night and day difference. She explained why we were seeing these behaviors and how to prevent them from happening. She patiently answered questions and talked through different scenarios to ensure we felt comfortable. Most importantly (to us), she took time to really get to know Kona and understand what might challenge her in order to personalize her training and ensure Kona responds appropriately in each situation. The results have really exceeded our expectations and we are so grateful. Thank you so much for everything, K9U, Allison and Sophie!

Ducky is 4yo and was showing extreme leash aggression. I was concerned that someone would get hurt. He also couldn't control his excitement with visitors and neighbors, jumping and peeing. After 3 weeks with Allison, he has learned to be calm & attentive, listen, say hello politely, interact with other dogs without incident. He even lost weight since he wasn't stealing snacks from the kids! The transformation is incredible. This was an invaluable investment for my sanity & the happiness of our family. It does take work to maintain the learning. But I feel very supported. K9 University provides excellent communication & tools for ongoing success. Wonderful Service! This service was life changing for my family. I had rescued my dog and was unable to train her on my own during Covid. Allison is very experienced and if it wasn't for her hard work and dedication to our dog I don't know what we would have done. Overall great communication, wonderful team, great location, awesome one on one sessions as well. If you are having difficulties with your puppy she is definitely the person to reach out to.
