K9s Place

After the passing of my previous beloved dog, I bravely got an 8 week old puppy…..Field retriever/yellow lab mix. Meet Jax. K9’s place has helped me keep my sanity through the various puppy stages and has been instrumental in Jax learning manners. Jax loves when we pull in for daycare or training and honestly, he is enamored with the staff there. Loves them so much that all Trevor or Kimber have to do is say “sit” or “down” and he performs immediately (much faster than he will for me!) I’m grateful for them and the opportunities K9’s place provides for socialization and training practice. I can’t recommend them highly enough for any situation you find yourself in with your pup (or grown dog!)

Have done daycare 3x with my rescue pup Jazz and each time she comes home happier than ever. She is getting the socialization she never had before and learning how to be a dog. The care and concern shown by Trevor's staff is evident as soon as you walk through the front door. They love what they do and it shows. One pack walk done with more to follow. Jazz actually enjoyed being surrounded by people and lots of dogs, learning and interacting with both. No apprehension, no reactivity, just followed my commands without hesitation and with a smile on her face almost as big as the smile on mine.

Trevor and his team of trainers at K9s Place are the only trainers I’ve ever worked with that truly delivered on their commitment. Over the past 6 years, I’ve spent endless amounts of money on trainers in hopes of changing my German Shepherds unpredictable (and frightening) reactivity to other dogs and people. He’s a very sweet dog but was so reactive I couldn’t walk him down the street or trust him around guests in my home. In a moment of desperation, I took him to Trevor, in hopes he could help. I can truly say the cost of the two week board and train was worth every penny. The dog I picked up from K9s Place is a totally different creature than the one I dropped off 2 weeks ago. For the first time in 6 years, Im able to walk my handsome boy down the street without fear of losing control and finally have the tools and skills I’ve needed to help Jaxon be the best dog he can be!
