K9Rj Dog Training

We contacted five dog trainers and RJ was the only one who returned our message. We contacted him in October about our dog who is aggressive before, during, and after eating to the point of hurting herself. RJ called in response to our email and gave free advice. RJ said to try feeding her in her kennel. Now we feed the dog in her kennel as part of our new program. We move her kennel to a neutral space in the house to feed her in her kennel with direct light shining in since she is partially blind. After each feeding the kennel is wiped down thoroughly. If she starts to get aggressive we pull out the vacuum and sit it next to her kennel. It breaks the connection for negative behavior. We turn the vacuum on/off for a quick second to settle her if just the sight does not settle her. Thank you for the advice and time you took to speak with us. We were on the verge of giving up and putting her down. Our pup no longer attacks herself or us at feeding time. Thank you for saving her!

We enrolled our two rambunctious poodle puppies in RJ’s puppy obedience 2 week board and train program. RJ was very thorough with us & asked us what were our main concerns & goals for the puppies. Jumping was #1, no pulling on a leash was #2, and to come when called was #3. Anything else was icing on the cake for us, since they are just young puppies we weren’t sure exactly how much they would retain. RJ would send us pictures, and video updates throughout their stay and the boarding center staff were terrific in keeping us updated with pictures and good morning texts! The real excitement came when time to pick them up and we were astounded at their progress and learning! They achieved all the goals we had for them and more! They learned down stay, and recall from a long long way away! How to fetch! And the start of using potty bells to alert us when they need to go outside!! When we picked them up RJ went through everything they learned and taught us how to continue at home, including sharing with us the tools we could purchase to help us with their daily practice! We will be using him again when the puppies reach around a year old to learn more intermediate skills then! Don’t hesitate to give RJ a call for your dog obedience needs! I must say, this has been a fantastic experience! RJ is the nicest guy and sooooo good with the dogs and owners. He’s so patient and teaches you how to properly handle your dog in order to continue their training at home. My Sascha is a bundle of energy and had been so high maintenance my husband didn’t want to be around her. When I brought her home for the first break, he was amazed and at one point asked me what had RJ done to her? She wasn’t all hyper all the time. It was amazing. I would recommend RJ to anyone! You and your dog will be much happier if you do!!!
