We contacted Stonehill Kennel because there was no where else to turn. We had adopted a 2 year hunting male dog that had never been in a home. Over the course of a few month he had become aggressive at the door and his behavior was out of control. I was afraid he was going to hurt someone. We had tried training weekly at our home but the training was not enough. Chris explained patiently why we were having the problems and exactly what the training will accomplish. When we brought our dog to Stonehill Kennel everything was clean and everyone was friendly and professional. After 9 weeks of training the dog his commands, they also taught us how to be good owners. This was the best money I have ever spent in my life. We gave a good dog a chance at having a happy and safe life. I could not recommend their services more. The next dog we get will go to them immediately for training! Thank you CJ for everything you have done for our family and most of all Mac!

My two dogs stayed 6 days there while we went to Florida for almost a week. Well the staff were great and friendly. They did alot more than most places do for kennel’s. My only issue now is that now both of my dogs are now sick. One ended up vomiting constantly and bloody watery diarrhea. And now my other dog now has kennel cough and will now need to go to the vet. For a place that does SO much for the dogs and animals and are so kind and friendly you would think they would do a little extra care on the kennels. Given i understand the amount of pressure and responsibility they have to make mistakes. But my dogs will no longer be boarded anywhere. We cannot be taking anymore risks for my dogs to be sick again. So for my review i will give them 3 stars given the issue i am having now. Thanks.

I can not even to begin to put into words how knowledgeable the staff at Stonehill Kennel are, and how transformative their in kennel training program is. My dog Chewie (3yr old Male corgi) arrived at Stonehill this past August with severe behavioral issues. He bit our feet, and was obedient but only on his own terms. His “bad” behavior started a year prior and I knew that Stonehill was the right place for him then, but my family griped about the cost. A year, and two trainers later I brought him to Stonehill in desperation; I was afraid of losing my best friend. Chris was firm but reasssuring and he took the dog From me that day. Chewie was paired with CJ and as reluctant as I was to leave him I knew. He was in the best hands. CJ kept me informed And helped me to understand how through Chewies obedience training I would be able to control is dominance and eagerness to bite as a way to get what he wants. The most important thing I learned from Stonehill throughout all of this is how to form a positive and respectful relationship with my dog through obedience. He came home today, still the same dog in soul and spirit, but a much different dog in action and obedience.
