K9mutt Training

I'm on my 3rd class with Sandy and my dog. I am picky about where I go for dog training because I studied animal behavior in college and have worked in just about every area of the pet care business (vet tech, grooming, daycare, boarding). Sandy uses the best, evidence-based, techniques that board certified veterinary behaviorists would approve of. There are no quick fixes in dog training, shock collars and prong collars and dominance based methods only increase the risk that your dog will bite you or someone else. Positive reinforcement-based training leads to calm, confident doggos that happily do what you tell them to and are comfortable and happy with their surroundings. My dog has gone from lunging and barking at things she's afraid of (mostly people and strange dogs) to turning and looking at me and waiting for me to tell her what to do, without the use of any creepy looking prong collar or painful shock collar.
