I have a new 4 month old Puppy and Megan has been helping me with teaching him the basics. She has been incredibly helpful right as she entered the door! She not only immediatley helps give tips and instruction but is very compassionate. She understands that Dog Training is training for both the Dog and the Owner. She offers social days to drop off your dog and for them to socialize as well! Highly reccomend and excited to continue using her services as our little guy grows up.

I hate to leave a bad review and I rarely do this but when it comes to dogs and dishonest trainers, I have to. I specifically consulted Megan before scheduling a session on all the issues my Rescue German Shepard has. I emphasized that he was reactive and would shriek in the car, those were the main reasons I was hiring her. She arrived at my house and as soon as she entered my dogs space he went berserk, barking and snapping at her. She was shocked, telling me 2 in 1500 dogs will bark at her and it’s basically never happened before. That’s literally what reactive dogs do! She then informed me to get a slip knot or prong collar for our next session to work on leash training which I had also informed I wanted to work on. Why did she not inform me before she arrived so I could’ve bought the collar and we could actually do training with the collar instead of sitting in my room just causing my reactive dog to become more reactive!! She then told me the only solution is to use L-Theanine, an amino acid to calm down his mental energy. Biggest waste of money and time. I suppose she may know how to train pups or simple commands but please don’t bring your reactive or aggressive dog anywhere near her.

I was having difficulty with my labradoodle not eating. He didn’t eat for 4 days and I was very worried. I reached out to a FB group asking for recommendations. The group pointed me to Megan. We setup a time for her to come to my house and observe my dog. The entire time she told me to ignore my dog and we talked. I could immediately see her love for dogs and her passion to help them and their owners. After her visit I had a few homework assignments and a much better understanding of my dog. She was (and still is) available if I have any questions. A few follow up texts and calls and my dog is a much better eater. This may not sound like much but without Megan’s help, I don’t think I would have figured out why my dog wouldn’t eat. I will say that you need to be patient because Megan is very busy and sometimes won’t respond as quickly as you would like. With that said, she is absolutely worth the wait.

In December of 2021 my husband and I adopted a 3 year old German Shepherd from the an animal shelter on the Eastern Shore. Soon after adopting our dog, Sheba, we knew we were going to need guidance with training and how to properly care for this new member of our family. I’ll add that our daughter was 9 months old at this time. Through a recommendation of a family friend we were introduced to K9dness and Megan. Megan welcomed Sheba, and us, into her program and it was the best decision we have ever made. It is clear within minutes of meeting Megan that she is doing what she loves. Her passion for dogs is evident in the work she has done with Sheba. Sheba is an energetic, loving girl who is a mixture of sass and stubbornness. She came to us with no manners and big dog energy. Megan would come to our house for training where she would model techniques and expectations that we could incorporate into everyday life with Sheba. I was nervous I would feel overwhelmed with information and not be successful in training a dog while taking care of a tiny human. However, that was not the case and Megan helped us set routines and boundaries which I now value, especially now with an on the go toddler. When myself and my family went on vacation it only made sense that we board Sheba with Megan for the week. We knew Sheba would be in a safe environment with someone who would take excellent care of her. Sheba trained for the week we were away and the progress made was amazing. Throughout our time with K9dness and Megan, Sheba now has manners and is the perfect addition to our family. If you’re looking for a passionate, reliable, professional person with a huge heart for dogs, to help you with your furry friend then look no further- Megan and K9dness is the answer!

I can't say enough about how happy I am to have found a trainer like Megan...When I got my puppy she was more than just puppy energy and Megan came to the house to access and show me the proper way to train her according to my puppy's personality and needs...More recently I did a board and train while I was out of town and was completely confident in leaving my puppy with Megan...Her professionalism and passion for what she does shines through in every conversation...I received pictures and videos of the progress and fun my puppy was having and it was so clear she was learning and having so much fun...As a result I have the proper tools and information to continue her training at home making it an enjoyable experience for us both...I can't thank Megan enough and am beyond grateful to have found her and look forward to continuing working with her long term.
