Been using Dave as a decoy for my young GSD and he is an expert at bringing out the best in a dog without overdoing it. She has since really come out of her shell and is starting to make great progress. Decided to step up my own decoy game and took his 2-day dog sport decoy class and realized how little I knew and how many bad habits I had developed. Spent the weekend in the rain and mud fixing my decoy mechanics, some classroom time going over fundamentals, spent tons of time in a sleeve and a suit learning to read dogs behaviors better and getting my dog worked all weekend long. We both left muddy, mentally exhausted from all the information and physically beaten up from the dozens of reps. Highly recommend getting a firm foundation to build on if you are new to decoying. Easier to learn the right way initially than trying to fix tons of bad habits. Thanks Dave.

Dave is one of the best trainers out there and we have had great success working with him over the last two years. I recommend him wholeheartedly and without any reservations all the time to people asking me for a trainer. His methods are effective, motivation-based and often very clever. Unlike many trainers, Dave always has an explanation for why he is doing something and will answer all of your questions, helping you become a better handler at the same time as training your dog.

My family volunteered as puppy raisers for the Seeing Eye when my daughter was a teenager so I know that good training is critical to having a happy, confident, well-behaved dog. When we were no longer Seeing Eye puppy raisers and got our own German Shepherd puppy we found David and K9 unlimited and have never looked back. Private lessons progressed to group classes and now 8 years later we both still love going to Advanced Obedience classes. David is truly an expert, and kind and patient, which I gather is not the norm. And we have a wonderful, happy, well-behaved dog. I can recommend David without reservation.
