From your dog’s very first stay with us, our team worked diligently to accommodate her unique needs, including managing a significant resource guarding issue that, as noted in your file from August 2024, you acknowledged had been worsening. Despite these challenges, we continued to provide care and made every effort to keep both your dog and our team safe during her visits. Unfortunately, during her most recent stay, her guarding behavior escalated to the point where she was not only guarding food, but also her entire kennel area, making it unsafe for our staff to approach her, leash her, or handle her without risk of injury. Following that stay, we made the difficult decision to inform you that we could no longer safely board your dog at our facility. This decision was made purely out of concern for the safety of your dog and our team and in no way was meant that you have a bad dog. We simply just thought it necessary for your dog and our teams safety she find alternative arrangements more suitable to her. Please know that at no time was your dog mistreated. Our facility is equipped with cameras throughout monitored by management, and we had multiple staff members present during her care. We are confident in the professionalism and compassion of our team. We wish you and your dog the very best moving forward, and we hope you find a facility better suited to her specific needs.
