They quickly came and picked up our 2 1/2 year old dog. 2 short weeks later they returned a calm attentive and responsive dog. It is now a pleasure to be able to walk without being pulled or have to worry about behavioral issues. Our “new” dog readily follows commands and is very eager to please us. She is very happy and contented ,as a bonus she is also crate trained. They not only trained our dog they also spent time training and educating us. We now realize some of the issues were due to our mistakes. We are committed to following the new rules and procedures. Our reward is a great dog we no longer have to worry about putting down. Winston and Miley just finished on-leash training with Vanessa! Happy to report that it is night and day from where we started. They became very anxious and barked whenever someone would come over or come in contact with another dog or person. Now, they are completely under control, reserved and obedient. Vanessa really understands and teaches dog centered training so that we understand how to appropriately respond and correct unwanted behavior. Vanessa is patient, caring, responsible and reliable. Whether you want basic obedience training or more advanced off leash training for your dog THIS is the place you are looking for. When getting our second dog (three kids at home) this past year we knew we wanted to have a "trained" dog. We started with basic puppy obedience training which really set the stage for what I felt was most important for us as a family....off leash training. I knew I needed the dog to come when he was called, not eat all the kids toys and behave on family walks. Well we got what we asked for and more with k9 role models. We have a controlled, fun, energetic, trained, golden retriever that I can take anywhere and not be worried about his behavior. I feel bad that we did not do this with our first dog. I am SO grateful to Vannessa. She is clearly very passionate about her work and SO experienced. It amazed me that as soon as she walked in the door to meet us she was "training" the dog while also carrying on a conversation. I was shocked at how easily she calmed our crazy guy. AND our first vet visit after off leash training I was the only dog owner in the waiting room not wrestling their dog. Huge win.
