K9 Role Models

Vanessa has been a life saver! Don’t hesitate to reach out to K9 role model. We adopted Pepper from a shelter. I knew I wanted her to have some “formal” training. We took her to a different trainer originally and it just did not work. Soon more issues arose and to say I was skeptical on another training would be an understatement. Vanessa has helped us immensely with food guarding, toy guarding, loose leash walking, and overall obedience. Pepper has greatly improved. Highly recommend!

We reached out to Vanessa for help with our almost 1-year old puppy, Lottie. She was very high energy and unpredictable. Given how stubborn our sweet girl was, we were skeptical that the board and train would be effective for her. We were also concerned that the reintroduction training wouldn’t be enough and we were so wrong! We were floored when Vanessa brought Lottie back to us. Our young kids refer to her as “New Lottie” because Vanessa curbed her behavioral issues so successfully. She no longer torments our older dog by playfully nipping at her face and she shocked all of us with how well she follows the commands she learned. Lottie, who was once unmanageable (barking and jumping) when guests would come to the door, will now wait patiently in her bed until we give her permission to greet our company. She was also very sensitive to correction but has been responding SO well with the positive reinforcement tactics Vanessa taught us. It was clear that Vanessa took the time to really understand Lottie’s personality as well as our personalities and habits as owners, giving us tips to ensure that the training was successful. We’ve had a few questions since the training ended and Vanessa has been incredibly responsive and helpful every time. We would absolutely recommend K9 Rolemodels!

We sent our dog Echo to Vannessa for a 2 week board and train for help managing his severe anxiety. Echo arrived with K9 Role Models unable to walk on leash, settle in a crate (or really just settle at all… ever), stealing food from the table/childrens hands, not knowing any commands, and overall just an anxious mess. In such a short amount of time Echo was returned to us a new dog, knowing all of the above and more. His new skills have not only benefited us immensely but also benefited Echo as well. She has worked with us as a family teaching us how to implement all of our dogs new skills and is always a text or call away with assistance if we have any questions or find we’re having a difficulty. I could not be happier we chose to go through K9 Role Models.
