We couldn’t be happier with Vanessa and the progress she has helped us make with our high-drive, high-energy Labrador puppy! We reached out for help with excitement around distractions, leash pulling, overall obedience, and ultimately being able to enjoy more off-leash freedom. Vanessa has been incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and thoughtful in her approach, and she has truly delivered on all of our goals. If you are thinking about needing help training your dog, look no further than Vannessa. She is an incredible trainer. Our 2 year old bernedoodle, Walter, is the friendliest, most people- loving dog. He is very intelligent and did well in group training but the second the treats went away, his brain turned off at home. In public (or when people came to visit) he would lose his mind with excitement and had a really hard time calming down. After bringing home his human little sister, those behaviors increased and he also started having nuisance behavior that he didn’t previously have. He started taking the baby’s toys, stealing food, pulling on the leash etc. None of our previous training tactics were working. We needed help! Eight sessions with Vannessa later and Walter the most well mannered, calm dog. It’s incredible the difference in behavior around our baby and around guests. I now genuinely look forward to taking him on walks with the stroller and out in public. He can even be trusted to walk with us off leash! When someone knocks on the door, he knows to go lay down on his bed until released instead of attempting to slide tackle guests. He is still his happy goofy self but with ears that stay on and brain cells that work even when excited. Training with Vannessa was such a game changer for us. She was always on time for sessions, very friendly, and so helpful with all of our questions. I honestly felt like we were training ourselves along side Walter and it’s made all the difference. We trusted the process and our family is so grateful for all of Vannessa’s help!
