K9 Reset

To say that Rich is an incredible trainer is an understatement. From his consistent and timely communication, to his unrivaled kindness and knowledge, there is no one I'd trust more training my puppy. Rich and I were in contact months before I took my energetic shepherd in. She was a nightmare to handle and I explained that to Rich. What I really value was being able to meet with Rich twice before dropping her off for free to evaluate and go over exercises to prepare her for his training regimen. Rich was able to establish the foundation for my pup to be more controllable and trainable. She has come such a long way thanks to his invaluable work. I am also very grateful for his willingness to reach out and stay in touch regarding her progress. I'm glad he's in my corner and that I went with him as my trainer!

I cannot say enough GREAT things about our experience with Rich!! Our three biggest challenges involved recall (literally non existent), reactivity to noises, and learning to "chill. These commands have now been refined and we have learned the skills to continue to improve on the skills. Sometimes Poppy still thinks about if she really wants to come but it's not the "I CAN'T HEAR YOU" response of the past and she will respond and we now have the tools and patience to continue working with her. In terms of reactions to loud noises - previously on a good day she would get a C. Now she gets a B+ on a bad day which is saying a lot. There are other skills Poppy learned at her time with Rich as well with manners, not jumping to hug people, and expertise in leave it. Constant communication, texts, and videos put us at ease and knowing she was essentially a part of his family while there adds to the high recommendation! He is also available for follow up questions.

So, the joke in our house is the “before Richard times” and the “after Richard times”. We brought Kiki to Richard when she was seven months old. We thought she was going to be a 20 pound dog. She was not, she was 40lbs and so full of puppy and nervous energy, she was more than we knew how to handle. Before we even brought her to Richard he worked with us to teach her to stop pulling on her leash. She had that down within a day, no joke. When we brought her into Richard she stayed for the week, she learned her commands and then it was our job to make sure to follow up on them. It’s not easy work, it’s a commitment but it has changed the entire household because she knows what to do. Her nervous energy has been cut in half!!!! . Richard follows up with me at least every two weeks and is so happy to answer any questions. It’s like magic!

My first discussion with Rich was via phone, with a summarization of the problems I was having with my Cane Corso Mia, 2yrs. 5 months. Mia reaction to other dogs, difficulty handling ,controlling on leash. Rich suggested we meet so he could evaluate Mia. At the meeting He was able to see Mia’s reactions.He suggested board and train to work with her. We set the date to drop her off.Rich from day one sent verbal and video updates to me showing her progress, which was a complete turnaround from her actions she was walking on the leash learning not to react to other dogs. On the datpy of pickup Rich spent over an hour walking with Mia and me while I controlled the leash, doing what he had done using a combination of e-collar and prong collar correctly , Mia walked not pulled and I controlled the walk. She has been home almost a week and we have taken walks with me in control not Mia. I am thoroughly satisfied , happy with, and confident that the training Mia and I received from Rich is the best that I could do for my Mia and would refer his services to anyone that asked me. As a post note Rich is always there if I need to speak to him and if I have a question.He is not done and gone.
