I had such high hopes when we hired Brooke and unfortunately we were beyond disappointed. Our situation may be different than most as we had a dog starting fights with her housemate. Brooke made me believe she knew how to handle the issue and we boarded both dogs with her. Absolutely nothing came from the training, in fact my dog was MORE reactive than before going to the facility. While at the facility during pick up, she yelled at my dog and hit her cage whenever she would bark. When we got home and crated my dogs for the night, my dog was reactive while crated and she had never been before. I called Brooke to tell her about it, and her suggestion was for me to get my dog out of the crate whenever she did that and hit her. From that moment on I knew what my dogs endured while at her facility, as my other dog had gone back to peeing herself whenever spoken to. I didn’t want any issues but we didn’t get what we paid for. I didn’t expect well oiled machines but nothing had changed for the better and seemed to only change for the worst. We requested that she refund our deposit, I never signed anything saying it was nonrefundable. We have kept calm and just kindly asked for her to give us our money back so we can find a resource that may actually be able to help us, and she has ghosted us and blocked me on fb. What a way to handle business. Edited- Kaizas peeing herself greatly improved? She peed herself the minute you brought her to me in the training room. A behavior she had stopped doing for almost 2 years. So, not sure how that’s great improvement. I also understand she was a difficult dog, but she literally made no progress and neither did Ashe. Telling me if she reacts in her crate acting like a “numbskull” to take her out of the crate and hit her and shove her back in the crate, isn’t good advice. I’ve spoke to 3 other trainers and their eyes went wide when I mentioned that piece of advice. Regardless, you never addressed the fact that we kindly requested our deposit back because ultimately you were unsuccessful with not one but BOTH of our dogs and that’s what we were paying for. All we wanted was the deposit back to try to find someone to help us, but you blocked me and have ignored my request via venmo to return the deposit. It’s really not that hard and you made this difficult for no reason and you can write this whole heartfelt reply back but we know what happened and what you’ve done is poor business.
