K9 Heeling

I’ve had nothing but great experiences at K9 Heeling with my buddy Leo. I originally started boarding him there for a while and later enrolled him in the 3-week training program. After just a couple of stays, Leo actually became excited to arrive - which spoke volumes to me. The boarding is very reasonably priced, as are the additional services and add-ons. He’s had a few baths; anywhere from the basic to the more extensive and he always comes out happy and fresh! When it comes to training, you might initially think, “Wow, that’s pricey,” (and compared to others, it’s not), but knowing what I know now and seeing the dog Leo has become, I would have paid more if I had to. The results truly speak for themselves. Leo came back happier, calmer, and noticeably more confident. He is a completely different dog. Before training, he couldn’t be separated from me without screaming, barking, or having accidents. Now, his anxiety has decreased significantly, his emotions are regulated, and the sweet dog he always was has fully come through. He’s learned boundaries, patience, and respect. Because of the training, I’m able to live my daily life more freely. I can go to the grocery store and leave him home, walk to my car with the door open while he waits calmly, walk without him jumping and nipping at me, get out of my car without him jumping into my lap, and even walk him off-leash. He not only knows his commands but he immediately does them without hesitation (if there is hesitation they have taught me how to fix it). They are teaching us owners just as much as our dogs. These may seem like small things, but they add up - and the list of what he’s learned truly goes on. The skills they teach are practical and applicable to everyday life, which makes all the difference. I used to struggle every day with Leo because I felt so out of control, but after training, life with him has truly been bliss. He went from a Velcro-pup to my sidekick in the best way. The staff genuinely cares about the dogs. This is not just another money grab or a purely transactional business. Communication was excellent, the facility is clean and professional, and I always felt completely at ease leaving Leo in their care. You can tell they put real time, patience, and heart into what they do. Leo was trained by Sam W., and she was amazing. We had three one-hour training sessions, and they often went longer because she took the time to answer my questions and explain things in depth - something she absolutely didn’t have to do, but did anyway. Even when she had multiple things going on and other dogs to train, she remained attentive to both Leo and I. Her dog Corb was also in attendance with lessons/training and he helped Leo learn what’s expected of him! It’s a very ‘homey’ feeling there. Overall, I can’t say enough good things. I highly recommend K9 Heeling to anyone looking for quality training or boarding! You guys are awesome!♥️

Lucy Belle and I would like to take a minute to rave a little about K9 Heeling. Lucy just turned one, and has been a repeat customer with K9 since she can remember. Every time we pull in there, her tail wags and she gets so wiggly with excitement! That is because she has family there…the entire K9 crew treats her and every dog like their own. They are all so loving and attentive when we arrive, and it is GENUINE. You can tell by Lucy’s reaction. She barely has time to say goodbye to me. LOL. We have recently completed a stay in training for Lucy with Sam as her trainer and I cannot say enough about Sam, and the quality of training and the attention that Lucy got. She absolutely loves Sam! Sam took the time to talk to me about the results I was looking for with Lucy, and then customized her training to achieve my goals. It was perfect! Mitch is amazing with dogs and runs a 100% top notch facility. They offer many social events for dogs and play dates as well.
