K9 Conditioning and Stephen were exactly what our German Shepherd needed. Stephen was professional, kept us informed throughout our dog’s training, and provided us the tools to keep the training going at home. Bishop, our almost year old dog, was extremely reactive towards other dogs and even reacted to other people in our own home. Although not aggressive, his anxiety and lack of structure was making it an untenable situation to keep him. Bishop now has the tools and training that allowed me to pass by other dogs on a walk in the park, stay in his “place” at home with six kids running around, and respond to verbal commands consistently. We’re all very grateful for the training and would recommend K9 Conditioning and Stephen to anyone.

We were referred to K9 Conditioning by a good friend who recently had her dog go through the program. This has been a life-changing decision for Willow and our family. Willow was so reactive to every sound and every sight. We needed training and so did she. Willow came home today. She is the very same sweet loving girl, but she is in such a good place now. She is calmer, she has really embraced being led. And we are loving that she can depend on us to guide her and advocate for her. We’ve learned so much. We highly recommend Stephen and his team. I can’t say enough good things about K9 conditioning. I must of interviewed 6 different training facilities and Stephen and his partner stood out from the rest. They are very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. Before we took our 9 year old Jack Russell and 5 month old Staffy to K9 conditioning they couldn’t be in the same rook because our Jack Russell was so aggressive. Also our Jack would pull on the leash so hard. Our Staffy was such an high energy dog and we knew we had our hands full. Now the two can sit together calmly in a room, our Jack Russell doesn’t pull and our Staffy puppy has great obedience. We got updates, pictures and videos everyday and we had sessions with our dogs and Stephen to ensure we knew the cues and what to ask of our dogs. I am so happy we choose K9 Conditioning!

Our German Shepherd puppy Zeno, who was a fairly mellow puppy, changed at around 9 months into a hackles-raising, barking, reactive adolescent dog. We’ve had GSDs before, but Zeno’s personality was a lot pushier and more protective, so we realized we’d need some help. After a few group classes at another trainer, which helped a little, but not as much as we wished, we found Stephen Rojas at K9 conditioning. We did a one-week board and train that really transformed Zeno. No more barking at neighbors and their dogs as we pass them by on the street, and he responded so much better to the basic commands we use with him every day. We decided to take the next step recommended by Stephen and signed Zeno up for a two-week board and train for advanced obedience and e-collar work. His progress was amazing; and we can now confidently take him with us all over the foothills for fun at parks, rivers, lakes, etc. without worrying that he will get into trouble with other people and their dogs. We ourselves continue to work with Stephen to ensure we have the knowledge and skills not to mess Zeno up.  We highly recommend K9 conditioning and Stephen Rojas. His professionalism and calm, competent way of dealing with various behavioral issues opened a vista of possibilities for us with Zeno.
