This rescue is doing amazing things. I was fostering a puppy for them and ended up keeping this puppy. The rules were very clear of what needed to be provided and that if I did not follow them I would not be suitable for the adoption. The house was visited to ensure it would be safe location for a puppy and had a suitable yard for this high drive breed. The mandate for a socialization class is something new for me but, it is one of the best rules as it has helped my puppy learn to interact outside of the home pack. The requirement for training has been great as it is something that this breed of dogs truly need to be successful and not end up back in the situation they were saved from. Kevin is a very straight to the point person that may rub people the wrong way but, this is great quality when dealing with being a k9 rescue and adopting the k9s. Kevin helped my husband and I train our German Shepherd when we found ourselves out of our depth and helped us learn how to be the owners of a very high drive working line shepherd who needed a couple full time dogs. We also have a rescue Malinois from K9 Avengers. Kevin takes adoptions really serious for these special high drive breeds to make sure they don't end up in shelters where they are in danger of being euthanized. Kevin's adoption rules are open and publicly available. As the owner of a GSD and Malinois as well as a long term dog owner over many years where I rented apartments, houses, etc. from others, all of his adoption rules are for the safety and wellbeing of the dog. I wish more rescues exercised this due diligence and care to establish forever homes for their dogs. He also extends exponential support after adoptions to make sure the numerous dogs he rehabilitates thrive in their new homes.
