Kevin is a very knowledgeable trainer that has done tremendous job in fixing lack of confidence and aggression in our female german shepherd Harlie.He is straight forward in his explaining how to correct the dog and owner behavior to create a better relationship with their humans.. He is currently training Ares our 10 week old dutch shepherd puppy that he percurd for us. Thank you Kevin for your patience as we learn the dos and don'ts in training our shepherds in a way they will strive and become awesome companions!! I didn’t know what to expect when we were looking for a a dog trainer. We got a silver lab from a breeder. We were excited and set forth on the adventure of raising a pup. His pedigree ensured that he would be smart and that was evident immediately. We did as the Breeder had shown us and dedicated a spot for him to potty the first day. He has only used this areas since. The problem was that he was so smart that he figured us out sooner than we did him. We are a family of four with two younger children. He was given so many different sets of rules that he seemed to play up to whoever he was dealing with at the time. I told him to stay off the furniture and the kids would cuddle with him while I was away. He was aggressive toward the kids when the wife and I weren’t around. I feel as though we were setting him up for failure. Another major issue is that he was incredibly food aggressive to the point that he would tremble at the thought of being fed and snarl the entire time he ate. We researched for a trainer in the area for a while. We were blown away at some of the prices for the most basic training. We called K9 Avengers and met with him immediately. We were a little leery at first because we had never done anything like this before . We had the choice to either send the pup to his house or to have him train in our presence for an hour each day. We set up daily visits. In my mind this would benefit the kids more, being able to see him with the trainer. We have spent several weeks with our trainer. He has focused on obedience, socializing and helping us train the kids . For anyone who as kids this is the hardest part keeping them from treating the pup like a toy has been the most difficult. I feel like we have learned some great lessons and that our family has grown significantly along with the pup. The main lesson is consistency both with the pup and with the kiddos. One thing I liked most about our trainer is how responsive he was, we could call anytime day or night. Spending the money on a trainer was a difficult decision to make financially but it was well worth it. This was a financial decision that will pay dividends for years to come.
