Edel is the best dog trainer!!!! He is super kind, patient, and understanding. He will take the time to walk you through how to help train your dog with whatever it is that is needed. We have 3 Belgian Malinois, 2 of which were rescues who needed a lot of help being trained to be calmer and less aggressive, and Edel has been a massive help showing us the right way to achieve This. This is an update of my May 2025 review. After my first two sessions, I felt very blessed at the positive behavioral changes in my beautiful, fun and happy (but seriously misbehaving) canines. Now it is four months later, and everything Adam has taught me feels like a miracle! The kiddos suddenly have manners. They sit politely at the door when they want to go out or come in. Their prey drive is nearly suppressed. They are no longer lunging at the fence when the dog next door is outside - or when the lady down the street walks her dog - or when the cat in my neighbor's backyard is rolling around the grass. They can walk on leash with near precision - and without fear. We trained one at a time. Now both of them can walk on my left-side, in tandem, without any distractions (and without tripping me up by moving from side to side). Bath time is now a pleasure! I have never been able to reign these guys into a bath. But Adam showed me how to gently lure them into the process, and they loved every minute of it! My dogs and I can FINALLY go on car rides together! That is something most of my previous dogs enjoyed, but not these two. No way! But Adam came to the rescue again. With just a little momentum and an UP, UP, UP command, they are both happy to go for a joy-ride these days. Before engaging K9 Advisors, I was struggling. I had a lot simmering anger at the pet rescue lady who persuaded me to bring two sibling pups into my house without telling me that it is nearly impossible to train twin pups at the same time. But DANG, those twins claimed my heart right from the start! It has definitely been an adventure and a journey, but I think Adam has now given us the balance that I so desperately needed. K9 Advisors has been absolutely life-changing for me and my dog, Hazel. From basic obedience to full service dog training, public access work, and even practice airport runs, they’ve gone above and beyond at every step. Adam, Hazel’s trainer, is truly incredible. He’s not only extremely knowledgeable, but he’s also great at explaining things in practical, real-world ways that make sense. His love for dogs is obvious, but he also doesn’t tolerate any nonsense - he’s professional, consistent, and makes sure both the dog and owner understand what’s expected. Hazel absolutely lights up when he’s around and listens to him with total focus, which speaks volumes about his skill and presence. He’s exposed her to so many different environments (pet stores, grocery stores, shopping malls, the airport, my apartment, and more), and I can confidently say she’s become a well-rounded, reliable service dog because of his guidance. Joelle, who runs the front end, is always so kind, responsive, and organized. She makes scheduling and communication effortless and really makes you feel supported. Edel, the owner, has also been amazing - he even personally stepped in to ensure I had all the proper documentation for Hazel. That level of care is something you just don’t find everywhere. K9 Advisors feels less like a business and more like a family. Everyone there genuinely cares about both the dogs and their people. I can’t recommend them enough - if you’re looking for trainers who are professional, compassionate, and absolutely committed to helping you succeed, this is the place.
