K-9 international has been more than amazing. All three of my dogs went through the 8-10 week board and train course with Nino and Taylor, all for different reason. My first two dogs were there because I had a rescue that wanted to literally destroy every dog she met. Taylor has transformed my rescue Ellie who not only can be in the same room with another dog, but we added a new puppy this year. She plays and interacts with her and I never have a concern like I did prior to sending her through this program. Quinn went with her because why have one good puppy and one bad! They transformed a dog that I thought was untrainable. Any bad behavior imaginable he had. I have chased this dog numerous times, never thinking he could be off leash. Lastly Maci just completed training, a dog flown in from Hungary, who probably didn’t even know English. She was never exposed to human interaction and they built her confidence up to be an amazing dog. If any doubt in your mind, do it, why have a bad dog for 10-15 years when you can have an amazing, well behaved dog you can take anywhere with you. Taylor and the K9 Academy staff are wonderful. Our dog, a large pit bull mix came to us through the shelter. Bandit was a loving dog, but way too hyper and showing some signs of aggressive behavior toward other dogs. After his training, he is a well behaved dog, but has fully retained his personality with his “happy tail”, but is no longer jumping on people or knocking them over. He comes and sits when called and responds, rapidly when told “no”. He will heal while waking and no longer pulls on the leash, even in the presence of people or other dogs. We recommend Taylor and K9 Academy.

I brought my 3yr old GSD here for a 10-week board and train program. I had tried multiple other trainers and had limited success in the past. Nino and Taylor were able to stop some serious behavioral issues we were dealing with. My dog seemed to be well cared for and definitely benefitted from their program. These trainers heavily utilize the e-collar in their training, a handler's course was provided at the end of the program. I found the education provided on the e-collar to be quite brief considering this is a tool that can cause irreversible damage if used improperly. Overall, the training my dog received was very good and if you have a difficult dog, this is the place to go. Just be sure to spend some additional time learning about e-collars and how to properly use them.

We took our 4 month old German Shepherd to K9 Academy International for basic boarding training. The trainers were fantastic, friendly, easy to work with and the results were amazing. Our dog is very attentive to us, she responds well to all of her commands. I walk her off leash 3 times a day without worry of her running off, misbehaving or reacting inappropriately to people or other dogs. She gets so many compliments from our neighbors and random people who engage her. They are amazed by her behavior as a young puppy. I wholeheartedly recommend K9 Academy International to anyone who wants their dog to be well behaved and responsive to your commands. You won’t regret it.
