Keep it Simple Stupid (K.I.S.S.) Dog Training provides private, positive reinforcement-based dog training in clients’ homes throughout the Kansas City metro. Owner and sole trainer Mike Deathe, CPDT-KA, has trained professionally since 2008 and founded K.I.S.S. Dog Training in 2010 with the mission “Training Owners, Not Dogs.” Mike helps owners address puppy behavior, manners, leash walking, reactivity, fear, anxiety, aggression and other behavioral concerns where they actually occur. K.I.S.S. does not use prong collars, choke chains or electronic shock collars. Pricing, policies, methods, expectations and the training process are clearly explained so clients can make an informed decision before moving forward.

Mike came to our home and taught us how to start training our new pup, he showed us some techniques and strategies on teaching our pup how to sit, lay down, and other basic commands and they work great. Then he went into some things we never thought of. It was great and it pays off big time our pup Frank is now 7 months old and is almost 60 pounds and he is not a safe dog for anyone to be around but with other dogs and animals as well. We had not thought about safety but Mike did and we are so glad he did. Mike is a wealth of information and worth every dollar.

We frequently utilize the tips and tricks we learned in the class and friends and family are impressed with how good of a dog our Max is. My fiancé and I were newbie dog owners and needed a lot of help with training our 10 week old puppy. Having little knowledge on dog training, we knew we needed a trainer who could also train US and not just our puppy. A coworker referred Mike and we both can say it’s easily been the best money we’ve ever spent. Mike is the BEST and made it really simple for us to learn how to train our pup. Now, everyone comments on how obedient and well-behaved he is for a puppy! If you need a dog trainer, Mike’s your guy!!
