Keep it Simple Stupid (K.I.S.S.) Dog Training provides private, positive reinforcement-based dog training in clients’ homes throughout the Kansas City metro. Owner and sole trainer Mike Deathe, CPDT-KA, has trained professionally since 2008 and founded K.I.S.S. Dog Training in 2010 with the mission “Training Owners, Not Dogs.” Mike helps owners address puppy behavior, manners, leash walking, reactivity, fear, anxiety, aggression and other behavioral concerns where they actually occur. K.I.S.S. does not use prong collars, choke chains or electronic shock collars. Mike breaks everything down step by step, sends videos, gives access to his amazing books and both of my dogs absolutely love when he shows up. If you have a dog that you think can’t be trained- call Mike. He is outstanding!
Mike is amazing. He taught me so much over the course of our training sessions, and not just about working with my dogs! He will give you the skills you need to train your dog, and help you build confidence to keep growing once you finish your sessions.
We completed a series of training sessions with our puppy. Great!....Mike comes to your home, completely individualized to you and your pet....the emphasis is training owners to train the dog...very personable, step by step planning....highly recommend.

We have had an amazing experience with Mike. It had been several years since we had a puppy in our house, so we needed some refreshers and help. I appreciate that he gives you the tools to help change your dog's behavior. But he doesn't just magically retrain a dog, he helps you do the work so you are trained as much or more than they are. Any new issues that came up (whether it be potty-training, jumping, car rides, etc.) he always has something insightful or helpful to try and correct the issue. Our puppy is doing great and very well behaved, as are her owners. :) Thanks Mike!
