I wish I had paid more attention to the contract, as it was filled with red flags that I unfortunately overlooked. I decided to move forward with the prepaid training session package, which in hindsight, I wish I had not done. During our sessions, I found myself questioning whether it was a personality conflict or if the training methods simply weren’t adequate for my dog and me. The trainer seemed unable to adapt to our specific needs, and I often felt that the approach was not aligned with what I was hoping to achieve. While I appreciate the information that went into the sessions, I believe that effective training requires flexibility and willingness to pivot based on the unique requirements of both the pet and the owner. Unfortunately, I did not feel this was the case here. Overall, I would advise potential clients to thoroughly review all terms and consider signing up for only 1 or 2 sessions before paying for a full package where she will not reimburse if you cancel because she fails in her training. I now find myself with a six month old puppy who has missed out on valuable training time, and I feel I have also lost important opportunities for my own learning. This experience has been a financial hardship that did not yield the expected results. It has served as a lesson in prioritizing the needs of both my pet and myself moving forward.

I cannot recommend Kayla highly enough. I have a 115 lb dog that was dealing with severe fear reactivity, enough that his life had become confined to our house and yard. I reached out to Kayla in desperation. She was wonderful. Her consultation was thorough and she really expressed a deep understanding of the issues at play. Once we started working with Kayla, I was amazed. We learned so much, and within a few visits, I was able to talk my dog on short walks. Kayla was extremely knowledgeable and creative, attentive to our household dynamic and our specific needs, and patient teaching us how to communicate better with our dog. Kayla set reasonable expectations, and made it clear to us that we have a life-long project working with our dog. However, because of the foundation she built and the skills she taught us, we feel confident in proceeding with his training. His quality of life, and ours, has drastically improved. Going into to training, I did not believe that we could modify our dog's behavior as much as we have in a short time working with Kayla. I would recommend Kayla hands down to anyone. She took on a difficult, entrenched case with us and her talents shined.
