What trainers/behaviorists do you find your training is comparable to? Are you registered or certified through any professional organization? Where did you and your wife complete your apprenticeship for the police service dog trainers program?
Hi Katrina, First, we stand alone when it comes to training. We don't tell people what they want to hear, we tell them what they need to hear. So many trainers are politically correct. That's not the way to run a business. You need to be honest with people. So we don't concern ourselves with others. I graduated from Sgt. Dan Bowman or Gold Shield Training in 1991. I worked and trained with him until 2000 when he moved out of NYS. As far as certification, it's misleading. When people graduate, they receive a diploma from the school they attend. The online training programs they have now is nonsense. Hands on is the best way to learn so you can see training first hand. Learn from mistakes. Hope this helps.

How can I make my dog a certified companion dog?
First step is finding a local Obedience trainer that is qualified to work with you and your dog. Contact your local state official and ask them to direct you to certifications for Certified companion dogs. No trainer can certify you. No such thing. They can give you a diploma from their school but I do not know of any State certification that a dog trainer can give you.

If you want to bring your dog someplace safe to a trainer with common sense, this is a good place to go.
Very unprofessional company. They try forcing their views on you and bash you if you disagree. Would never take one of my dogs to people who are so rude and disgusting.
These people do not love dogs. They are cruel, judgemental, and unprofessional. Go else where.
Wouldn't waste your time with a business who can't train every breed of dog. There are way more qualified trainers in that area.
