FirstBarkK9 is great, the instructors are helpful and kind. I started 8 years ago with my first dog and continued with my second dog. They got me interested in dog shows. It’s been really fun and I have met alot of friends.

After a joyous puppy kindergarten class elsewhere, we came to K-9 Obedience Training hoping to work with our puppy on next steps like leash etiquette and not nipping at heels when he wanted to play. In these classes, though, he wasn't allowed to acknowledge the other dogs in the class, and he was distracted and nervous. The trainer at the front of the training center talked us through what to do and sometimes demonstrated with a highly trained dog, but I had no idea how to motivate my nervous puppy to do anything but sit for a treat. Perhaps this class would work for someone serious about training a show dog, but we quit after two sessions.
K9 is a great place to train. Starting with the puppy level up through higher AKC obedience levels. The club members and trainers are all there to help you with any training needs you may have. I’ve trained 2 dogs and continue to train my 2 dogs through K9.
I have trained several pups and rescues with K-9 Obedience Training Club oh Essex County NJ, and highly recommend them. The instructors are all kind, open to questions, give individual help where needed. Group classes are terrific for you and your dog as we live in a real world of distractions, parks, streets, houseguests, etc.
