K-9 Academy - Tulsa Dog Training

We took our Great Pyrenees to Dawn as a puppy . He was stubborn and strong willed, and we knew we needed professional help with him while he was young. We took him to Dawn when he was 2 1/2 months old and left him for 3 weeks. Dawn was fantastic, she was honest and forthcoming and told us exactly what to do and what to expect-she does not just tell you things you want to hear. He did wonderfully after that visit on leash. He NEVER had an accident in the house, he would walk on leash, sit, lie down and stay which was a huge improvement. We sent him again to her when he was around 6 months old for another couple of weeks. We live in the country and wanted a dog to come to us off leash and that's what Dawn gave us. Our dog is now a little over 1 year old, and he's the best dog we've ever owned, and honestly we were a little worried at first if he could ever be "just" a good dog. This is not our first dog and not our first time at a trainer, but it is our best dog and trainer. Let us set your mind at ease if you have these questions in mind because we did: Q: He's just a puppy and so cute we don't want to leave him that long? A: Dawn will let you visit and it is SO worth the benefit. Q: Will it break his spirit in any way? A: No, our dog was very happy when he came home. Q: We are going on vacation, should we board our dog or spend a little bit more to train him? A: TRAIN HIM Our dog continues to improve with maturity, and he knows his training well. Is he perfect-no, but he is well behaved, fun loving, protective, and we have very minimal issues with him that are incredibly infrequent. He has become one of the family and close to our heart. We would recommend K-9 Academy to anyone and are so happy we chose them- it really did make our life easier. Dawn is just a phone call away and always eager to help if we have a question or need advice, she has terrific long term customer service and she genuinely cares.

One month ago, I sent my dog Annie to this place for a try to fix my dog's problems and after the 3 week training, Annie does much better in behave and also calms down when seeing people and get much more control than before. My dog is already 9 month old and she is so tricky or "smart" in some bad ways, after the training, the problem can still happen but are all in control now, and can be fixed with the continuous training by me. Dawn is so helpful to train the dog and make both me and Annie a better life in house

I have two 7 year old rescues and a recent addition of a bulldog puppy. They puppy changes the dynamics of the entire house. Super stubborn and continually trying to fight with my rescued female. It was just too much with him. We took the three to the 3 week program. They definely all came back with different personalities, and all for the better. The puppy finally listens and isn't continually trying to fight with the female. The two rescues are even calmer and less nervous then they used to be. I am greatful for the training and change in them. Would definitely recommend any of the services provided here.
