FirstBarkShe did a great job with Zeus. I have used other trainers for my other dogs in the past but the approach Joyce uses is different and works so much better.

Our two large dogs were getting into fights and it was getting worse and unmanageable. Thanks to Joyce, my wife and I and our two dogs are a happy family. We are forever grateful. Highly recommend!

Very condescending demeanor. Joyce came into my home and commented on a few dirty dishes I had in my sink. I guess the comment was meant as a passive insult. I found it to be inappropriate. She also commented on my dog not being “purebred” without being asked on the FIRST session. She provided treat training which is a lazy way to train your dog. Many will not respond to commands without a treat being presented after this type of training. The treats she used gave my dog diarrhea. She cancelled a session about 15 minutes before it was scheduled because another client didn’t answer her phone. Was late to a few scheduled sessions as well. She requires payment upfront. I’ve definitely learned my lesson about upfront payments now. She presents herself as a K9 expert but attempted to “train” my French bulldog to climb stairs. Anyone who knows anything about Frenchies knows that due to IVDD risks, stairs are to be avoided. FB owners buy ramps to cover stairs. Stairs with FBs directly contributes to IVDD and IVDD often leads to paralysis.

I had an incredible experience working with Joyce Keeton. I still continue to bring my dog to her for additional training. She has worked with two of my dogs for two different behavioral situations. My dogs are so excited to see her and she has an incredible heart for the dogs as well as how they fit into the family. She cares for the family as well as the dog. One of my dogs was extremely difficult and she changed our lives for the better and worked so hard getting us where we need to be. Our other dog is also very sweet, but is leash reactive and while he loves other dogs, he is leash reactive, and lunges after dogs while he’s walking on his leash. She has been amazing helping us get through the process of him being able to walk past another dog on a leash. After every session, she emails me notes that we’ve talked about as well as lots of information on at home practice that we can work on until we see her the next time. She really takes it to the next level. I am driving almost 2 hours from Atlanta for her services. And believe me there are lots of dog trainers to choose from in Atlanta, but she is by far the best and worth the drive.
