Can’t rave enough about Eddie and JVR. We trust his expertise and commitment to our dog. He trained our setter rescue and continues to work with him when we board him on the property. We are grateful for Eddie’s ability to handle our high maintence dog. We will always trust JVR with any future hunting / herding dogs my wife and I get.

I started using Eddie 3 years ago after my long time trainer retired. I had a very poorly trained 18 month old female Lab. Eddie did a great job fixing her. We had a great duck season together in the 2022-23 season. Sadly, she died of pythiosis, a very rare situation. Eddie was very supportive during this period and worked to find me another dog. We were successful. I found an 18 month-old partially trained dog. Eddie has worked with my new male Lab in several 2 month intervals over the past year. I am very pleased with where my dog is now and have high expectations for how he will perform this upcoming duck season. I use Eddie to board my dog as well. I am often gone for 2 or more weeks at a time. My dog is very happy and safe there. He gets lots of exercise and interaction with other dogs. I give my highest recommendation of Eddie Hicks
My Golden has turned into a rockstar after Eddie trained her for 6 months. She has turned into the best waterfowl dog I have owned and she is my third Topbrass. She will be competing this spring after the season. Best trainer I have ever worked with. Thanks Eddie
I have had the opportunity to watch Eddie train dogs for a couple of decades now. It is amazing to see how he can get the full potential out so many dogs. He is fair and honest with his clients, many becoming his friends. If you need a dog trained for hunting, general obedience, or just need a kennel to board your dog, Jordan Valley would be my choice.
