Joasis- Dog Swimming and Dock Diving

I attempted to book a last minute swim session. I was told over the phone that the session had been given to me, and I needed to fill out a registration online. After I filled the form out, I called the office back for further instructions. I was then told the session had been given away (about 20 minutes later). I was very upset, so the phone attendant, Sarah said she would see if she could accommodate us. She stated that she would give me a call back with a time if she was able to accommodate my request. Even though she did find a spot for me, she never called me back to tell me. When I missed my session (due to the fact that I was never called back as promised), I was charged for missing the session. Both Sarah and the owner were indignant and rude. They were unwilling to help or compromise. In addition, they were willing to let me dog participate in the activity despite not having proof of up to date vaccines. This should be considered a health issue and a violation of policy. I requested a call from the owner. Instead, she refused and sent me a nasty email. This is bad business.

Absolutely amazing experience at Joasis. I brought my 8 month old Irish Setter puppy, Bonnie. I want her to be comfortable swimming since we live somewhere so hot. My big concern has been to make sure she doesn’t get spooked or have a bad experience with swimming. Joasis was perfect. Tons of toys for Bonnie to play with, a life vest to help her feel more confident, and a big yard to run around when she needs a break from swimming. Bonnie had never jumped in prior to our first trip to Joasis- just waded in. 30 minutes into our visit she was charging off the sides of the pool to snatch a squeaky eyeball from the water. She had a total blast. And I loved I could get in with her!

Joasis is a phenomenally fun place that truly reminds me what it's like to love spending time with our dogs! That feeling you had as a child, playing with your family pup? It all comes flooding back while you play here. Joasis helped me teach my Husky mix to love a peaceful swim! Jo worked with us personally to teach him to feel safe an confident in the water--now, as a 5 year-old pup--he loves wading and swimming! Jo was also instrumental in introducing me and my Australian Shepherd puppy to the sport of Dock Diving. Without her, we'd never have gone on to enjoy the sport and earn some ribbons along the way! The facility is always clean, beautiful, and is well stocked with anything you could imagine--and the trainers are compassionate and love what they do. You won't find a better place to relax, play, and enjoy your time with your dog.
