John has been training Sampson since he was 5 months old. Sampson is 2 now. Sampson and I will always train with John. Sampson gets so excited when he goes to training. We have been doing both the classes and private sessions. John is an exceptional trainer with over 25 years experience training all breeds of dogs. Sampson and I have been going through service dog training with John for over a year now. I have had 6 German Shepherds and other trainers but John has been the best trainer I have ever had.

I had a very disappointing experience with this trainer. He accused me and my sister of being scammers simply because we filed a legitimate complaint against the place we purchased our dog from—a place he himself admitted was unethical and that he works to shut down. Using that situation to attack our character was completely uncalled for. As for the training services, I did not find them effective or worth the $800 we spent. The advice given was generic—tips and tricks you can easily find online—and our dog’s behavior showed no improvement. Instead of meaningful hands-on training, most of the session was spent with the trainer talking about his past successes while our dog sat in his crate whining. I’m writing this review to let other dog owners know that if your dog isn’t improving despite your best efforts, it’s not always your fault. Sometimes, the trainer is the issue. While I respect others who may have had a positive experience, I feel it’s important to share my honest perspective. For us, this service didn’t deliver on its promises, and I wouldn’t recommend it.
