Jim Hodges Dog Training

We are in the process of training a 9 week old Cane Corso. She is very feisty and spirited. The tips we've received from Jim Hodges Dog Training information have been invaluable. Not only is our dog almost completely house trained, she understands commands when we are away from the home with her. Jim has been great to work with and we appreciate his help with our newest addition to the family. I'd recommend his training to anyone.

We were looking for someone to help us with our vizsla puppy.He was biting, chewing up our house, running away and was generally disobedient. This was our first experience with this breed and we were concerned we had made a mistake. Jim came highly recommended from our friends. They'd sent their labrador to Jim's home for training were thrilled with the results. We decided to do training in our home and the difference in our dog after one session was amazing. Jim was calm, patient and very knowledable about dog behaviors. He spent nearly 3 hours with us and provided specific instructions on how to deal with each behavioral issue. Our vizsla has responded so well to each session and has evolved into a completely different dog. We are so grateful to Jim for all his help! ..

Jim has worked with 2 of my German Shepherds. He is a wonderful trainer. My male was uncontrollable when he first went to work with Jim. After an in home boarding/training I got back a whole new dog and I became a whole new leader of my pack too. He taught me as much as he taught my dog. That is what a good trainer does. His daughter Rachel is also wonderful working with the dogs and any other animal. I tried those dog training classes before with my dogs and it failed and was not worth a penny. The investment I made towards my dogs training will last a lifetime. I know how my dogs will react and how to approach any situation all because Jim took the time to work with me and the dogs. He wants what is best for you and your dog. I truly feel like I am the leader of my pack and I thank Jim Hodges Dog Training for that!

I have had two training sessions at my home with Jim for my dog, Mattie. She is a 2 year old pound pup that has been having some aggression toward other dogs. Her behavior thus far seems to be triggered by food and attention from me. For a long time she was the only dog in the house, but recently I have been trying to get her used to being with another dog with whom she will be living with soon. We are working on basic commands right now such as sit, get in your bed, down, come, etc. Mattie seems to be picking it up pretty well and Jim is great with her. He is very patient with Mattie, and especially me, because I am trying to break my "bad habits" as an owner as well. I look forward to continuing my training with Jim and will definitely write another post with Mattie's results!
