When my wife and I rescued our first dog together, Holly and after spending a week with her, we knew we needed to look for the best trainer in our area. That search led us to Bob Santos, we talked to several others, but nobody seemed to have that special something that made them stand out from the rest, except him. Bob worked a serious miracle with our girl, she went from doing every naughty dog thing you've ever heard of, chewing on trim and stairs, nipping and jumping on people, biting and pulling the leash, and just about everything else you can imagine. Now, thanks to Bob's guidance with both us and Holly, shes a completely different dog, and for the better, shes so well behaved that when we have guests over we constantly get told shes the most well behaved dogs they've ever met. Getting to this point was hard, my wife and I both work well over 55+ hours a week, but if you trust Bob and follow his instructions and aren't lazy, you will be rewarded with the best trained dog of your life. I cannot stress enough that if ever I can recommend a trainer to anybody it will always be Bob Santos, as we will be bringing all future dogs to him as well.

My husband and I are writing a review because we are truly grateful for Bob and what he has done for our dogs, family and our overall home life. We are the owners of a 2 year old German Shepard named Alfie as well as a 2 year old adopted pit bull named Spero. Before Bob our house was chaotic and at times overwhelming with our two pups. Sometimes we would dread coming home wondering what was in store for us when we got there. The German Shepard displayed self-control issues. He was very hyper and would love to jump on whoever walked through the front door and would often chew furniture and moldings. Spero was more manageable but exhibited behavioral and emotional problems such as lack of confidence, being fearful of others, nipping and jumping on furniture. Slowly our social life became restricted because of this. Our dog’s behavioral problems and lack of obedience prevented us from having get togethers in our home and lead to both our families and friends voicing their dismay when being invited over because they did not want to encounter the dogs. We decided to be proactive and change that. After much research on dog trainers my husband came across Bob and decided to give him a try. It has been the best decision we have ever made for them. Bob is a phenomenal person and trainer. The knowledge and understanding he has for animals is truly exceptional. His strong demeanor was something the dogs sensed and respected and I truly believe they enjoyed training with him every session. Every recommendation Bob told us to follow we did. My husband’s dedication and consistency to work with them every day of the week following Bobs instructions along with bringing them to every training session was also very important. Consistency is key. I can tell you that our dogs have shown such an improvement. All he negative behavior I mentioned above has not been seen in months. They are very pleasurable to be around. Overall, they are more confident but most importantly they actually listen and obey commands now! They have become calmer, no chewing, they walk properly on a leash, no pulling, no dragging and definitely no more jumping on furniture. When we walk they walk, when we stop walking they sit. They do no move unless we tell them it’s ok to and might I also mention they’ve lost weight and look healthier now. We are beyond pleased with bob and the work he has done to help our dogs. I would definitely recommend Jersey Shore Canine to anyone looking to develop fundamental obedience skills in their dog. Bob shares his in depth understanding of canine behavior through a course of lessons that cover the crucial elements of dog handling and obedience. He works at the pace of the handler and communicates the reasoning behind the process. Therefore, you learn how to identify causes of behavior and the appropriate techniques to respond with. It is in this way that he teaches the handler as well as the dog, providing an effective and comprehensive program.
