Jaybird Dog Training

My 2 year old mixed breed, Shelby, took an obedience class at a Petsmart when she was five months old and flunked out back in 2022. She couldn’t focus, she didn’t listen, she stressed easily… I could go on. It seemed like a waste paying the money only for her to be the same, untrained dog that she was when she started. Fast forward to 2023 and nothing was any different, except how frustrated I was with her disobedience and lack of manners. I gave up on training her. I considered her to be an impossible dog at times despite being the goodest girl there ever was. I love my dog- arguably too much. Which is why it was important for me to take the step to commit to training her and allowing her to be the best dog I know she can be. Shea is a great trainer that is very caring for the dog’s needs. For the past couple of months Shea has been training my dog and training me on how I can be a better trainer for my dog. Lately my dog has been better at listening to her commands and has been much better around the house! Shea has also provided me with e-collar training which now my dog loves because she has more freedom while also being held responsible! I am happy I gave Jaybird a try and I would recommend him for anyone!

I was having problems with my recently adopted Blue Heeler. He was nipping, keeping me awake all hours of the night, destroying my house by eating everything in sight, terrorizing my cats, jumping on everyone that came into his sight, and he couldn’t follow simple commands. I was recommended to Shea and luckily he was able to get me a private training lesson set up very quickly because my sanity was in question at this point. He recommended a 3 week board and train which who isn’t hesitant about investing that kind of money into your dog and some stranger. Boy and I glad I made that decision to say yes to that! My dog, Boo came back a whole new pup! Everyone who had ever been around him also noticed the difference in him and how well behaved he now Was after his training. I can now call or text Shea whenever I have a question and he is never bothered by me asking him anything. It’s so refreshing to have a different point of view into the eyes of the dog to help us understand them Better and there’s nobody better to explain it than Shea!

We have used Shea’s dog training services for the last 6-7 weeks. We couldn’t be happier. He has trained us and helped us to communicate better with Harper. We have seen marked improvement with our dog, and learn something new each time we get together. Shea is realistic and walks you through everything. He knows what he is doing.
