Jared Horton’s K9 LLC

My dog, Beauregard, just graduated from Jared’s advanced training class. He was a reactive dog and not used to being around other dogs. Beau came into the training scared and not sure how to act with other dogs in the class. I also was very nervous taking Beau on hiking excursions with me. Through one on one classes and group classes I feel that both Beau and I have gained the confidence and comfortability with being around dogs of all different breeds. Jared is very knowledgeable and can specifically target what kind of training your dog needs. I highly recommend Jared’s classes.

I rescued a dog back in November and was absolutely out of my league, mainly due to my lack of skill set and the poor dogs prior life of abuse and neglect. I brought Blue to Jared for an evaluation and he set my mind to ease immediately, in that he was confident that he could help Blue and me become best friends and in turn help Blue respect me and understand commands, boundaries and general obedience. All of which were on my list of priorities when I 1st spoke with Jared. That being said, Blue and I just completed the 10 week advanced obedience class and I can't be more pleased with Blue. Jared was very easy to talk with and always made himself available to answer questions whether by tx, call or in person. His experience in training dogs and their owners is exceptional. I'm not sure where we would be 4 months into this rescue had it not been for Jared, his wife and family and their ability to work together to accomplish everything needed to leave his facility confident in my abilities to be a responsible dog owner and as well certain of his behaviors. His real life experiences that he trains with prepares you for what are potential situations to await, as you become more comfortable with your new forever friend. After a full year after completing Jared’s advanced obedience course with my working line Mal X, I have nothing but positive things to say. I had adopted a high energy, working line dog that I initially had no business in owning. He tore up the house , ate out of the trash, could jump nearly to my ceiling, and did not walk on a leash at all. My dog was lunging, barking, couldn’t go in public at all. I brought him to Jared for a consultation and he observed my dog and could read his behaviors immediately. We had set up a training plan of 8 weeks after that. I learned so much as a handler and dog owner I could not believe it. I continued using his training methods at home post training and I now have a dog that leaves people in “aw”. They are amazed how obedient he is, and how well he follows my commands. The bond between my dog and me is so strong. I have learned how to care for and bond with my dog so well I had went to school to learn how to train working line breeds. I now have my own dog training business in Texas, inspired to hopefully take what he has taught me and what I learned in training school to change behaviors of dogs who are hard cases such as mine. My dog that he had trained is now the poster and gold standard of my business. Jared and his training are above excellent and life changing.
