Janine's Super K9s

I’ve known Janine for many, many years and have had the pleasure of working with her multiple times. She’s helped me with my own dogs as well as with those I’ve recommended to her. Janine always goes above and beyond with every dog that comes her way — from agility and nosework to confidence building and behavior modification. Dogs respond incredibly well to her teaching style and calm, positive personality. Even though I’m in Texas now, I know Janine is just a phone call away whenever I find myself stuck in a corner. I brought my two year old male whippet to Janine because of his extreme reactivity to other dogs when on leash. Her methods of reward based training are very effective and fun for the dog who learns while thinking he’s playing a game and getting rewards. She’s certified in a number of methods of shaping the dog to the desired outcome. Janine clearly explains how and why each “game” achieves the end result, teaching the owner as well as teaching the dog. My dog Tango loved the sessions because not only did he get abundant treats, but because Janine was such a happy cheerleader who encouraged him. We continued to work at home on the skills he (we) learned in the teaching sessions and I’m delighted to say that Tango made remarkable progress. I’m able to be more relaxed when I take him out and am armed with new skills when we meet other dogs. I didn’t really think we’d achieve my goals when we began, but with Janine’s encouragement we surpassed my expectations.

Janine is a wonderful dog trainer with a wealth of knowledge that she shares in earnest with her clients. You can really tell that she loves what she does, and how that translates into creating a meaningful working partnership between you and your pup. I have been bringing my Toy Fox Terrier to her since he was a small puppy, and I can say confidently that she has helped shape him into the wonderful individual he is today!
