Jane Trains

Jane Gerard is by far the best thing that has happened to me and my rescue dog! I found myself with a fear based dog that I did not know how to help. Jane's approach is to evaluate each dog AND owner and address their specific needs based on their behavior and reactions. We don't always know the past experiences of our dogs when we rescue them, but Jane has a lifetime of experience and can get to the core of the matter fast. When we first met her my dog was cowering and threatening to bite. Today he is much more confident, happy and relaxed and now we can travel and be in public with me not worried about his safety or that of others. I had to learn how to read my dog, his signals and how I could better react to help him. Without Jane's help I was at risk of losing my dog if he bit someone or living a life of isolation. Obedience training is ok and has a purpose, but if you want comprehensive training and understanding of your dog and your relationship with him, go to Jane!

I'm amazed at how in tune Jane is to my dogs' needs, and her ability to perceive, understand, and communicate their experiences. We were having some difficulty integrating a newer, younger dog with my older one. And we live remotely, making dog trainers hard to find. Jane was able to work with us over Zoom to identify my younger dog's insecurities (leading to aggressive & possessive behavior), coach me on actionable training steps, and guide us through the process. Now, we've been living in harmony without incident for the last year, and my dogs are much more peaceful and friendly together. Thank you, Jane -- we'll be back for more training!
