Jackpot k9

I was in Austin for 5 weeks with my 2 corgis. 1 month before we left they started fighting with one another. I called for my free evaluation and was met with compassion and no judgement. They truly wanted to help me and my dogs. We came up with a training plan and schedule fit to my needs. We changed the plan to better serve priority’s of our goal. I’m home in MD now and my dogs have come a long way. I have tools to meet my goals and Abby from Jackpot is still checking in to see how we are progressing. I can’t give Abby and the whole team at Jackpot enough kudos. They were very responsive when I felt I was in a crisis situation. They were compassionate about my situation. This isn’t just a business to them. They will truly help you out.

I adopted Ziggy 3 months ago as a 1 year old stray and wanted to get off on the right foot and boy did we! I researched other facilities for training and landed with Jackpot. Great choice for the whole family!! We have a 7 year old and brought him in to learn how to interact with Ziggy, so good for both of them. Abby and the team really listened to our needs and Ziggy's. 3 months in and he is ready for his good K-9 test and we have a dream dog!!

I took my shih tzu to K9 back in late November and had a terrible experience. I might as well have done the grooming myself with how uneven and unkept his hair turned out, and actually had to fix his face and leg area after the session. I've tried to be understanding because I've taken him here before and the service was great, but this level of inconsistency + the price I had to pay for a terrible job is too much. His hair has grown back since, but there's still unevenness visible in his legs. I'm so disappointed and never taking my pup back. :( **UPDATE** I am a real customer and this is not a fake review. I took him on November 24th and corresponded with one of the owners via text. I had taken him one other time on September 4th and had a good experience. My issue is the inconsistency. I don't know if staff changed or y'all were overbooked and forgot about my dog and rushed, or someone unqualified cut his hair, but he came out looking bad. I had to head back to work, so I didn't realize how choppy and uneven it was - unfortunately I don't have any good pictures of him from that time. I'm not looking for a refund or a free haircut because I don't trust this place anymore, and that's ok. People with dogs that require more attention and care with grooming should be aware about my experience.
