Jackie's Basics and Beyond Dog Training

We started bringing our puppy to Jackie’s when he was 10 weeks old. It’s the best decision we could’ve made for him. Training him up with the puppy basics program reduced my stress so much, and he is already at four months old a very well behaved, well trained dog. Our trainer this whole time has been Lynn, and she brings a lot of skill and heart into what she does. The trainers clearly love what they do, which then makes us and the pups love what we do too!

My dogs have been training at Jackie’s Basics and Beyond since 2018. Jackie was our trainer when my golden retriever went through the therapy dog program. Jackie is amazing, and my dog, Eli, loved her so much and would do anything for her! Eli became an amazing therapy dog and worked for four years before he passed away in July 2023 due to cancer. My little Shih Tzu, Lane, also did puppy training and some further obedience training with Rebecca. My one year old golden retriever, Charlie, did his puppy training with Jackie, and is still training with her. My plan is for him to become a therapy dog too. I can’t say enough wonderful things about Jackie and the other trainers that work with her. If you are looking for a training program that is done the right way and you want to see positive results with your dog, Jackie’s Basics and Beyond is where you need to be!

I've known Jackie for over 15 years and she has helped us train 2 dogs, one a rescue with alot of issues and, most recently, a service dog. Not only is she gifted in understanding how dogs think but she can also explain to their owners how to bring out the best in the dog. Training the owner can sometimes be more challenging than training the dog! However if you want results and are willing to listen to and practice her techniques, you will build an amazing relationship with your pup.

I have been going to Jackie’s since they were both pups. Jackie’s has puppy training, obedience training, agility, training for therapy and service dog certification and other classes and individual lessons to meet any of your dogs needs. Her experienced trainers not only train your dogs but most importantly they train the owner how to make the activity a life long behavior. Feedback is always helpful and constructive. I can’t say enough good things about Jackie’s Basics and Beyond.

We were referred to Jackie’s by a coworker and will be eternally grateful. Started out in the Puppy class and are currently in Service Dog training. The main thing I’ve learned is that training your dog is really more about training yourself - and if that’s the case, you want to be taught by people who are genuinely good people AND are great at what they do. I’ve spent most of my time with Jackie and Meredith but even just my interactions with the other trainers show that the talent pool is quite deep. Most importantly, they all really care about doing what is best for the dogs - and the dogs notice. They all fall in love instantly. Costs are comparable, if not better, than other places - even the ‘big box pet stores’ around. There are lots of options for classes that fit all kinds of schedules. Overall, we highly recommend Jackie’s Basics and Beyond.
