Jackie's Basics and Beyond Dog Training

Maverick & I started with the Beginner class in August. He was 1 1/2 years old at time & first time I had done any training. I was hooked at the first class. I appreciated how the trainer broke down the steps for us & helped us be successful. We went straight into Intermediate class & now have been doing the Agility class. Maverick has become a more confident dog & we have both learned so much. He loves our trainer Lynn - she is perfect mix for him. Great trainer & genuinely loves the dogs. We can’t wait to do our therapy dog training with Lynn!

We have been so impressed with Lynn and the staff at Jackie's Basics and Beyond! We started in the Beginner class and saw such success with Lynn that we decided to go through the Intermediate class as well. Our dog is a 2 year old boxer/pit mix (presumably) with lots of energy and a tendency to push or negotiate boundaries. Lynn has led us to a better understanding of how her little mind works and how to communicate with her in a way that she understands and respects. Her manners around the house have improved immensely and we can now calmly walk on a loose leash even in a stimulating environment. Our dog's confidence has even increased and it feels so good to see how proud she is of herself when she masters a new skill or obstacle =). Not only have the classes been effective, they have been fun and supportive. Definitely would recommend Lynn and her classes to everyone with a dog!

I found Jackie’s Basics and Beyond by looking online. I’d done some dog obedience competitions years ago and I was interested in finding a training facility to help me with training a new puppy. Pre-COVID my little puppy was growing and learning and became a certified therapy dog and began obedience competitions ( so well trained she brought home some ribbons for high scores- kudos to Jackie’s excellent training program). Now a second pup later, and we are still learning, bonding, and having fun at Jackie’s Basics and Beyond. If you want to bond to your dog, there is no better way than by learning and training together with the excellent staff at Jackie’s! You’ll learn anything from canine good citizen training to agility, rally or even dancing. Seriously. Most importantly, you’ll learn one or two word commands that could save your dogs life. If you have an interest in rally competition, I recommend Lynn! She is a great trainer there with years of experience training and showing dogs and she’s got wall full of ribbons as a testament to her love and skill for rally trials. If you’re lucky, you’ll meet one of her highly trained dogs and you will realize how much she can help you! The rest of the staff are super too. I hope you also get to meet the owner Jackie, when you go there to check them out. She’s got a wealth of knowledge about animal training, a gift for relating to dogs (and their people) and she has the biggest smile you have ever seen. (And she has a some fancy red sparkle sneakers that hint at her zest for life, but aren’t nearly as sparkly as her personality!) go check them out, maybe they’ll let you observe a class or something!
