Nic and iSpeakDog Changed Our Lives If you're struggling with your dog and feeling hopeless, please read this. My dog is a 3-year-old Pitbull/Bulldog mix who came into my life when he was about 6 months old. I love him dearly, but the reality is that for a long time, life with him was incredibly challenging. He suffered from severe anxiety, separation anxiety, and reactivity toward other dogs and even some people. There were many moments when I seriously considered rehoming him because I didn't know how to help him or keep everyone safe. One of the hardest situations was when my mother came to visit and he reacted aggressively toward her. It broke my heart. His separation anxiety was also so severe that I couldn't comfortably take vacations or leave him with others because he simply struggled to trust and settle without me. I had already been turned away by another K9-certified training program, so when I reached out to Nic at iSpeakDog, my expectations were honestly very low. At that point, I was emotionally exhausted and preparing myself to give up on my dog. Ironically, I first contacted Nic just to help with my dog's nail trimming. When Nic met my dog, he immediately recognized we needed more help. My dog was so stressed that he was fighting me just to put on his collar (a behavior I had never even seen from him before). Instead of turning us away, Nic stepped in right then and there and offered to start a board-and-train program. That decision changed everything. After our very first lesson, I started seeing improvements. As we continued through the beginner program, my dog became calmer, more attentive, and much more confident. By the end, we were walking properly on a leash without me getting dragged down the street. Walks went from being stressful to something I genuinely enjoy. Most importantly, I kept my dog. Nic gave me the tools, knowledge, and confidence to better understand my dog and communicate with him. He never made me feel judged or like my dog was a lost cause. Instead, he showed me what was possible with consistency, structure, and proper guidance. Today, my dog and best friend listens better, is more manageable in public, and has made enormous progress in ways I never thought possible. Prior to working with the I speak dogg training program I was thinking about giving my dog away. This training completely changed my mind and had solidified my dogs place in our family. Nic is hands down the best dog trainer in the DMV. Not only do he understand the emotional behaviors of a dog, he can spot an aggressive dog a mile away just by reading its body language and the look in it's eyes. I took my 9 year old standard poodle to Nic for obedience training, I thought he was too old to be trained but Nic proved me wrong. Im very impressed with the outcome of the obedience training and I would recommend anyone with a dog to him. I SPEAK DOG is a one stop shop. You can get your dog groomed, trained or even boarding for those much needed vacations, he also does house calls. Last but not least Nic provides RAW FOOD for your fur baby. He is definitely the Dog whisperer 1,000 stars 10/10 recommend.
