IQ K9 Training

I can’t say enough good about this place and all the people we interacted with there. Having our dogs go through this training has been life changing for us. I love my dog girls, but admittedly their behavior was often very hard to deal with and it stressed me out daily. Not only did our doggies clearly love the trainers and their experience staying there and all the attention they got, but I feel like they are so much calmer and happier now that they know what is expected of them and how to be good girls. We also received so much care and attention getting set up and overcoming our anxiety and trepidation with undertaking how to keep up the training at home. They worked with each of our family members and never rushed us. They are extremely knowledgeable and have endless patience and their follow up is thorough. You feel like they sincerely love and care about the dogs and the success of the whole family handling the dogs. My only regret is that I hadn’t waited so long to do this. I was not sure about spending the money or time and about sending my dogs away for a few weeks, but after one phone call (plus a recommendation from a trusted friend) I could tell I was doing the right thing. After our first visit I was really excited. I highly recommend taking your dogs here if you want well behaved dogs and a great experience with how to handle them successfully. It seems like a lot of money, but the truth is they spend so much time and care with you and your pets and have follow up lessons, too, and when you combine that with how much better your life is after you do it because your dogs are easy to handle, it is 100% worth it!

Can't express in words how amazing IQ K9 Training Team has been for my fur family! They did an amazing job with my Rottweiler "CJ" in 2020 and I'm now bringing a new dog to them for the full 4 week program. Best results for training for me and multiple friends,. I've also used them for boarding when a work trip popped up and obviously my pup was very excited to go back. They are very personalized with their approach and ask the parents a lot of questions about what they see in their dog and what they expect after training. Very professional with their business structure, website and scheduling.

Luis and IQ K9 are great! We took our newly adopted homeless rescue dog from Mexico who was a raging mess, and in 3 weeks, she's become a super obedient and intelligent member of our family. She went from wild child with highly strange potty habits to fully acclimated with our family. In fact, she has full run of the house just one month later, and she has excellent recall. She walks perfectly and is just a great dog. Thank you Luis and IQ K9!

We highly recommend IQK9! Our 5 year old silver labs were in desperate need of training. Before their month long training we couldn’t take them on walks without being dragged, if they saw another dog nearby they were reactive, they would jump at people when they came to visit us and they would bark all the time. After training they learned how to walk on a leash properly. We actually enjoy going on walks without being dragged. They are able to ignore other dogs and focus on us. The barking has stopped and they go to their place when someone comes to visit and wait until the right moment to say hi. We are extremely thankful to Luis and the team for all of the time and energy that was given to the dogs while at training and for Luis’s continued support after their training. The home visits has helped us make sure we are consistent and doing the commands correctly. Our dogs were known as the terrors before training and now all we here is “what well behaved dogs you have.” If they had not gone to IQK9 we wouldn’t have well behaved dogs who can now go with us anywhere.

We were sooooo nervous about leaving our baby girl with strangers at boarding school, but after grilling Luis and reading every review we could get our hands on, we braced ourselves and took the leap. Best investment we ever made. Mulligan learned so much in her two weeks of boot camp that all (!) we had to do was be good at reinforcing her lessons at home. She’s got a reputation now as the best-behaved dog in the neighborhood, and the quality of the time we spend with her is greatly enhanced. We have joyful walks now instead of battles of wills. When company cones to the door, she goes cheerfully to her “place” until she’s released to welcome them in. Perhaps most telling of all was her response when we brought her back to IQ-K9 for her follow up lesson — she couldn’t wait to get out of the car and greet her trainers with an abundance of wiggly, wet kisses. Clearly, she felt loved and cared for while she was in their hands. Take the leap. You won’t be sorry.
